In case it's still not obvious - yes, this is a werewolf story and yes, this is about mates or soulmates or something along those lines and yes, it's probably some cliche stuff. Hehe, bear with it.

........

A groan resounded in the dim, quiet room and rustles of the duvet accompanied by a pop of a weary spine broke the morning silence. A sigh joined the crowd.

"Ow. Where am I?" Tally mumbled drowsily, his voice hoarse and throat sore. Not to mention, his body felt more exhausted than it usually was and not to forget, the numb pain on his lower back. He winced when he sat up, eyes swiping over the foreign room. It looked like his room in design and size but it didn't feel like his room, judging by the accessories adorning it. He rubbed his eyes, grimacing slightly at the sting shooting up his eyes, feeling them swollen and puffy like he had just finished crying.

        Wait, crying?

His head snapped to look at the floor.

        Clothes scattered around; His clothes.

For some reason, his eyes unwillingly darted to the bedside table beside his side of the bed....Is that a bottle of lube?

He gulped, dreading what he was going to see next - knowing it unconsciously deep in the pit of his stomach - and slowly, like a robot, turned his head to his side.

True enough, the body of his nightmare was present.

Sleeping soundly with back turned to Tally, there was Ryder, unaware that Tally had woken up to the presence of his nightmare in flesh and blood.

'Oh no....Oh no...!' Instantly, in a clumsy hurry, Tally shot up from the bed and put on his discarded clothes. Without hesitation, he rushed out of the room after unlocking it and closed it not-so-quietly. At that point, he didn't even care whether he had woken up Ryder or other occupants of the other rooms - who probably wouldn't be affected as all the rooms were soundproof after all (Tally was hating that fact now) - or the pain that was shooting up his sore muscles as he ran through the corridor, down the stairs and ran another set of corridor just to get to his room; no, he did not care because all that appealed to him now was the peace of his room and the peace of his mind.

He slammed open his door and locked it just as immediately as it was opened, sliding his back down the wood, leaning his head back and gasping for air. Shakily, he brought his hand to his mouth as his breathe hitched for a moment, eyes wide with reluctant realisation.

        Did last night really happen?

Did he really just go through the ordeal in the darkness? Committing an act he never thought he would ever succumb to? Well, forced to succumb to. And with someone that wasn't his mate?

        With someone that is Ryder?

Tally gritted his teeth, his brain straining to remember last night.

He remembered feeling fear, the pain of being gripped so hard his skin would probably bruise now and the really painful part of being.....'intruded'. Ryder had made sure to prepare him well with lubes and fingers in which wasn't so bad, if he remembered correctly, but that didn't mean he was gentle during the actual thing. It still hurt and Tally remembered crying and begging him to stop. Ryder paid no heed to any of those.

If it wasn't a trick of the eye, Tally was sure he'd seen a smile on Ryder's face.

His heart quickened, panic rose in his chest and he panted - all out of fear. He was terrified, by no doubt. Terrified of Ryder; terrified of his next approach, if he will; terrified at the sight of him; terrified of his touch...
