Jessie didn't know what to expect.

The weather became worse by the second, as heavy heaps of snow covered the city, it wasn't a blizzard though, and she was thankful for that, but currently she has a case. A woman called in earlier reporting violent spirits have been terrorizing her and her pets, Jessie accepted the case since the woman was calling from the hotel she decided to stay in for the duration of her house being haunted, Jessie took pity on her.

The woman had told Jessie where her house was-- well, mansion actually-- just within the hillside of the city not that far away, but with the current weather it would take longer than expected. She wasn't alone for this case though, two people accompanied her, sitting at the back seats of the totally-legit-pickup truck were the two part time investigators sitting across from each other, behind her, starring into the window was Destiny, she had her usual outfit, although, she wore long sleeves and a long scarf that tailed behind her and some snow boots. To Jessie's right also starring into the window was Rosie, she much like Destiny didn't really wear much different attire to what she wore before it started to snow, except this time Rosie was wearing a knitted beanie, gloves and snow boots for the seasonal occasion.

Destiny, although she couldn't see what she was doing from where she was seated, was undoubtedly exited, and Jessie could just feel the excitement radiating from her. Rosie, on the other hand, had a blank expression on her face the whole ride and, Jessie had expected that, she did after all call them without warning to a case in what could become a snow storm.

The car ride was surprisingly quiet, aside from the occasional sound of awe from Destiny when passing through the fancier neighborhoods. As Jessie pulled her the totally-legit-pickup truck into a driveway and entered some gates, another soft "woah." From Destiny was expected. They had arrived at the woman's house, it was something to gawk at, the gates themselves were tall, and grand, the house itself was more on the cabin style aesthetic than the modern mansion look, nevertheless it was huge, from what Jessie could tell from first glance it obviously had a third floor, a chimney, and a balcony, it would take longer to explore the entire house, Jessie just hopes that the spirits are in one place.

"THIS is the house??!" Destiny asked with excitement to Jessie as she was parking the totally-legit-pickup truck, "Yes, this is the home, though it looks more like a mansion." Jessie responded as she grabbed her leather sling and opened the car door.

"Yeah, looks like the lady is loaded to afford this, especially on the hillside." Rosie commented, her voice cold as she got a better look outside of the car at the house.

"Do you both have your equipment?" Jessie asked as she began to close the car door and walk to the direction of the house.

"Yup!"

"Have it here."

"Good, now, let's go before we freeze out here."

The three investigators hurriedly walked to the front patio of the house, following a cobblestone path covered in snow. Rosie got to the door first, quickly after followed Jessie, then after a moment or so Destiny finally arrived there too.

"What took you so long, Desty?" Rosie asked the short girl,
"I kinda..... Got distracted..." Destiny responded as she looked away into a different direction embarrassed ,

"Distracted? By what?"

"Well, I saw a butterfly! And I got confused since it's snowing and I'm sure butterflies don't appear during the winter times, so.. I... Followed it.. But! It led me back here!"

"A... Butterfly you say?" Jessie asked bewildered by the supposed butterfly apparition.

"Yeah, but it was most likely a ghost though. But at least I'm back safe!"

"Well, yeah, most likely, but we can deal with butterflies later, for now let's deal with these spirits." Rosie stated as she turned to open the door--

Knock
Knock
Knock

Rosie knocked on the door.

"Why'd you knock?" Destiny asked startled by the loud and sudden knocking .
"It's polite to knock before entering someone's home." Rosie responded quickly, Jessie on the other hand didn't mind the sudden knocks, she knew why Rosie would knock before entering, 'old habits die hard' she mused as Rosie opened the wooden doors.

Jessie began to open her satchel to grab her equipment, she took put what looked to be an old bulky phone with wires sticking out from the top, three color coded buttons were placed below a green tinted screen, she pressed a side button as the screen flared to life, it was a radar, a ghost tracking one to be exact. Almost instantly three red dots appeared on screen.

"I've got a read on them," Jessie said holding the device and showing the two part timers. The two quickly reached for their own devices, turning them on and having the same outcome.

"This was easier than expected." Rosie stated as she pulled out another device from her bag, this one looked sleek while it carried a tube connected with extra parts and a trigger.

"Oh, great, an attic." Destiny said sarcastically complaining as she looked to the ceiling and saw a square shaped oddity to it. "And it would be just our luck that the ghosts are up there too, huh?"

" Well, I'd like to congratulate you on your assessment, Destiny. " Jessie said as she pointed the device to the ceiling. The only response from from Destiny was a sigh and a mumbled sentence no one aside from herself could hear.

"Well then, what are we waiting for? Let's put an end to this haunting." Rosie said with a smile on her face as she raised up her gun-like device, already staring to walk up a flight of stairs to the attic.

"Let's do this then."
