Chapter 2

3rd POV (USA)

       Sean went through the metal detector & got pulled over to the side to be checked for weapons. He looked over to his left to see the school mascot was going through the same thing. He was cleared & went to class. Sean was sketching in his note book during Algebra. Then he went to his other classes. He went to have lunch. He went to sit down outside to see the jocks destroying a piñata oh the other schools mascot.

       After lunch, Sean went to mechanics to work or his car. While he was working on his car, he saw a group of kids pull a fat kid into the painting room. Sean stopped working on his car to go see what was happening, first he looked at the teacher to see that the teacher was asleep & had no idea what was happening. Then he went by the painting room to see the group of kids painting the fat kid's stomach purple. Sean didn't bother to help, he just let them continue what they were doing.

       At the end of the day, Sean walked out to his car that was parked next to one of the football player's red Viper. Cindy, Clay's girlfriend, was sitting in the viper painting her nails. When she seen Sean walk to his car she started to say, "Nice ride." Sean responded with, "It does the job." Cindy being Cindy said, "What job, delivering pizzas?" While Cindy was talking to Sean her boyfriend Clay was walking towards them. Clay saw Sean & Cindy talking to each other & he didn't look happy. Sean answered Cindy by saying, "Well it's not the ride, it's the rider." Clay walked over & threw his bag into the Viper & said to Cindy, "What the hell was that? Cindy responded with, "What?" & a shrug of her shoulders. Clay turned to Sean & said, "Hey! You talking to my girl?" A few of Clay's friends said stuff like "Oh, shit. Here we go." & "Yeah." While Sean being Sean said, "She was just admiring my ride." One of Clay's friends mimicked Sean by saying "My ride." With a slight country accent.

       Clay said to Sean's response, "My grandma's Buick could smoke that piece of shit, trailer trash." Sean had a comeback of his own & said "Well, what about your daddy's Viper?" Clay was starting to turn red with anger, & responded with, "This beast's got 500 horsepower & a Borla exhaust system. It does 0 to 60 in like 4.3 seconds..." Clay's friends agreeing with him said, "That's about right." & "Yeah." Sean replied with a smart ads comment of, "Wow. You can read the brochure." After Sean said that he got into his car to leave, while Clay's friends were snickering at Sean's response. Clay had a look of 'what the hell did he just say?!' Sean started the engine & pulled out of the parking spot & left, before he got to far, Clay grabbed a baseball from his bag & threw the ball at the back windshield of Sean's car. The back windshield had a hole the size of a baseball in it. Sean stopped his car when the baseball hit the back windshield. Sean parked his car & got out while hiding a socket wrench he was holding. A friend of Clay's was saying "What a pitch, baby. What a pitch. I like that." Another one said, "What's he gonna do?" Someone else said, "Let's make it happen. Bring it."
     
        Sean let the socket wrench slide down so everyone could see what he was holding, while Clay & his friends started to approach Sean. Everyone saw & started oo'ing & ah'ing thinking about what Clay would do now. Clay's friends started saying, "I got your——I got your back." When Clay turned around to see if they would back down. Sean had a smirk on his face that looked like he was saying 'what are you gonna do now.' Cindy, not wanting anyone to fight said, "Why don't you nice boys let your cars do the talking?" Sean immediately responded by saying, "I only race for pink slips." Clay being his stuck up self said, "This car goes for 80 grand. What would I do with a broken-ass piece of shit like that?" Everyone around them starts booing like 'what's he gonna do next'. Cindy says, "How about me? Winner gets me." When Sean heard that he smirks while looking at Clay. Clay sees Sean smirking & is immediately pissed.
    
        Everyone goes to the construction site of the Shangri-La Estates. A few of the football players go & cut the chain with bolt cutters while the others are saying, "Cut it, let's cut it. Let's go, go, go, go!" Once the gate is open everyone rushes inside to see Clay, &  Sean race. Cindy was ridding with Clay while their friends sit in the back of a pick-up. Clay & Sean line up behind the pick-up, one of the cheerleaders takes off her bra while, one of Clay's friends are recording the race & another says, "Blast-off baby!" Clay says to Sean, "First one out the other side..." Clay's friends say, "It's time. Let's go!" The cheerleader says, "Ready, boys?" While Cindy says, "Make it interesting Clay." The cheerleader screams while throwing her bra in the air, once it hits the ground, Clay & Sean take off.
   
        Clay gets in front of Sean & blocks him behind the truck. Sean tried to go around Clay but ends up running into some plastic barrels. Sean goes around the other side of the truck & drives in what is suppose to be the front lawn of the houses that are being built. Sean races passed the truck. Clay speeds up & Sean pulls off the front lawn & behind Clay. Clay & Sean go to make a turn but Sean makes his turn to wide & crashes into the porter potties that are there. Clay & Cindy laugh at what just happened to Sean. Sean recovers & speeds up to catch up to Clay, while Clay is still speeding to the end. Sean catches up to Clay, but Clay takes a turn catching Sean off guard a bit before he recovers & makes that turn. Clay turns on to the next road, but Sean turns earlier & goes off road between the house to try & win. Cindy & Clay see that Sean is off road & caught up to them & says to Clay, "I thought you loved me." That gets Clay angry & he speeds up. Sean sees he is going to crash into a CAT, Sean says, "Oh well." & instead he crashes through one of the houses & appears behind Clay, but right on his tail end.
     
        Clay sees this & says, "What the hell." & turns to look at Cindy with worry written all over his face. Sean pulls up right alongside Clay & winks at Cindy, she smiles back & says to Clay "Guess I got a new date for prom." Clay not liking what he just heard Cindy say, starts crashing I to the side of Sean's car to get him to crash. While Clay is crashing into Sean's car, Cindy is in fear & says, "Clay, stop the car!" "Shut up!" Clay yells in response to Cindy, and keeps crashing into Sean's car. Cindy yells again "Clay, stop the car!" but Clay doesn't stop & yells "Shut up!" again while Cindy yells "Stop it!" Cindy starts begging Clay "Clay, please stop! Please stop!" Clay still keeps crashing his car into Sean's, Clay ended up pulling too far ahead & his car starts to spin out, & crashes. Sean starts to loose control of his car & starts swerving, he goes to turn to avoid everyone who just ran away, & ended up flipping his car, while ruining his car in the process.         Cindy, Sean, &  Clay are sitting in the police station all beat up. Cindy looks at Sean, Sean winks & smiles a bloody smile at Cindy & she just scoffs & rolls her eyes while looking away, while Clay holds an ice pack to his head. Sean is sitting in an interrogation room with a caseworker & an officer watching the video of him crashing through a house while racing. Sean wanting to be funny says to the caseworker, "Can I get a copy of that?" The caseworker  replies with "You think this is a joke, huh? You see Ken and Barbie over there?" The caseworker points over at Clay & Cindy " They're gonna walk out of here without even a slap on the wrist. Mommy and Daddy are to hooked up. But I like you. You know why?"
     
        The caseworker says while walking over to be next to Sean. "'Cause you're 100% guaranteed conviction." Sean not wanting to talk about this asks "Where's my car?" "I crushed it." The caseworker responds. Sean not believing what the caseworker said asked while standing up "You did what?" "Sit down! You're done." The caseworker said while the officer came & pulled Sean down to sit down while saying "Easy, easy." The caseworker continues like nothing happened "You're done. You understand me? You're done & all before your 18th birthday. Now sit down." Then there's a knock on the door & Sean's mom walks in & says "Sean. What the hell were you thinking, huh?" while the officer walks out   The caseworker says to Sean's mom "Mrs. Boswell? Please." She replies with while going to sit down "It's, uh, it's Miss." While the caseworker sits down Miss Boswell asks while pulling out a cigarette "Officer, is it, um, illegal to smoke in here?" The caseworker pulls out a light & lights Miss Boswell's cigarette for her.
     
         The caseworker continues what he was originally doing & says "It's a tough state, & it's a pretty clear-cut case. He'll be lucky if they don't try him as an adult." Miss Boswell replies "This is our 3rd town in 2 years." The caseworker says "Your son's got 2 priors for reckless driving, willful destruction of property. This makes it strike 3. They're definitely gonna want to get him off the streets." While the caseworker says all this, Sean is looming at Clay & Cindy to see that their parents came & picked them up. Miss Boswell says "Well, there's just got to be another way." Sean is standing out in the hallway with an officer waiting for his mom & the caseworker to stop talking. Finally Sean's mom & the caseworker walk out & Sean asks his mom while the officer & caseworker walk away "So, where are we moving this time?" His mother responds saying "We are not moving anywhere."
