Sixteen

Sicheng's POV:

I quickly put down the branch as I noticed the fire poker next to the fireplace, surely this would be much more affective than a stupid branch. I took a deep breath and slowly pulled the fire poker out, not wanting to make any noise. The last thing I wanted was for him to come up here and find me in his house. I tiptoed and made my way towards the staircase I had seen him walk down, meaning they should be in the basement somewhere, who knows how many girls he had down there. As I made my way there, I began to hear light footsteps coming up the stairs, making me hide.

I hid beside the wall, ready to wack him as soon as he walked up. Soon enough he came up the steps but as I went to hit him, he stopped. Before I knew it, he turned to look at me and charged. I panicked and swung at him, knocking some things off of the shelf next to me as he continued to attack. "I always knew you'd come for your little girlfriend. I knew you'd figure it.out Sicheng, he said in a smart tone as he looked me in the eyes, pressing me against the wall with the fire poker I was desperately trying to cling to.

"You know what Mr.Byun" I said as I gritted my teeth. "What?" He said, pressing harder, beginning to cut off my air. "You fucked with the wrong couple." I said, smiling for a moment before I kneed him in the balls, sending him flying back. I quickly used this as my chance to knock him to the ground by punching him in the face. His eyes shut and I guess I had knocked him out. "That was easy." I said, dusting myself off as I grabbed the key to the basement from his pocket.

I walked down the stairs and unlocked the door, not at all expecting to see the sight before me. I walked in slowly to see several girls laying on the ground, cold and sick. How could someone do this? Mr. Byun truly was a sick individual. "S-sicheng?!" I heard a voice say, pulling me out of my thoughts. I looked across the room to see none other than the very girl I had been searching so desperately all this time, Hae Soo.

"Baby!" I yelled, running to her as she got up to run at me. The moment I made it to her, I grabbed her in my arms and spun her around as I hugged her as soon as I released her I grabbed her face and pulled her close, kissing her on the lips, a thing I had been longing to do for forever, a thing I had thought I would never be able to do again. She kissed me over and over before looking me in the eyes. "I knew you would save me." She said, putting her forehead to mine.

Suddenly a cough from beside us caught our attention. "So Hae Soo..aren't you going to tell him?" I immediatly noticed who it was, none other than Mi Na. Hae Soo looked back at me and before I could ask about Mi Na, she spoke. "Sicheng, baby, I'm pregnant." She said, a tear slipping from her eye as she smiled at me. "Y-you're pregnant??" I said taken aback.

She nodded and I hugged her before she could say anything else. "I love you Hae Soo, more than anything else in this world." I said, kissing her forehead. I pulled away and looked at her while I heard Taeyong and the other's voices coming from upstairs. "Sicheng! We're here, the cops are here too, everything is gonna be alright!" I heard Taeyong say, I sighed in relief and turned to yell back but the moment I turned, I felt a sharp pain in my side. I looked to see Mr.Byun holding the fire poker that was now jabbed in my side.

As the pain grew, I heard HaeSoo screaming from behind me, crying out while footsteps ran down the stairs. He smiled at me as I fell to the ground, Hae Soo collapsing beside me as she tried to stop the bleeding while my vision became blurry. As I was close to blacking out all I heard was Hae Soo's voice saying "Baby, it will be okay, I got you." And the sound of gunshots as Mr.Byun fell to the ground in front of me, then everything went black....

I woke up to the sound of the hospital monitor beeping and found myself on a small bed with an iv in my arm and my side bandaged. I looked to my side to see Hae Soo sleeping peacefully with her head on the sheets and her hand holding mine. I smiled and winced as I tried to move a little to sit up, noticing the guys were here too. "Babe, you're up, are you alright?" I heard Hae Soo's light voice as she rubbed her tired eyes. "I am now that I have you." I smiled at her.

"Sicheng, thank god you're okay." Taeyong said, standing up as he smiled. "Mark and Haechan are with their girlfriends in rooms down the hall." Yuta said. I nodded and looked back to Hae Soo who was smiling brightly at me. "Can I have a moment alone with my girlfriend please?" I managed to get out. They all nodded understandingly and made their way out of the small room, leaving me and Hae Soo to ourselves. "What's wrong?" She asked as she looked at me. I reached over to grab my jacket that was laying on her chair, pulling something out of the pocket.

"I know this is such an odd time to do this but I can't wait any longer and I want to make a good life for you and our baby. I want to be with you for the rest of my life and to wake up next to you everyday. So... Kim Hae Soo, will you marry me?" I said as I opened the small box that I had so waited so long to give her. She let a tear slip from her eye as she scooted closer to me. "Yes Sicheng, yes I will marry you." She said, giving me her hand as she used her other to cover her mouth. I slipped the ring on her finger and smiled at her before kissing her on the lips.

"I love you so so much." I said. "I love you too Dong Sicheng, more than anything." She said as she got up and slid into the bed next to me, leaving us crammed together but I didn't care as I now had the girl of my dreams in my arms, a feeling I never wanted to lose again, a feeling I would never ever let go, cause after this whole journey, who knew that those years ago, that things would ever be more than a kiss.
