His faced had a pained expression on his face. I looked down at his arm and chest, and saw the red plague spread on his clothes. The blood started to go to my head as I went into full "You need help! What do I do? How do I stop the bleeding?" I started to talk so fast I'm not sure Toshiro even understood what I said.

"Slow down," his voice calm and undamaged. It made me feel safe. "We'll ride on Luna. I know a place where we can go. Help me up."

With my mind clear I pulled him up, wraping his arm around my neck. We walked to the now grazing horse, She's already getting fat! We stoped on the left side of her, her head now up high, showing perfect posture. Show off...

"This is going to get a little tricky," Toshiro started to explain "You'll ride in front with me behind you and-"

"Or I can do this. Suteru." At the sound of my voice Luna layed down against the grass.

Utter shock took over Toshiro's face. His eyes wide, mouth hanging open, and a little drool coming out of the corner of his mouth.

"Your'e going to eat flies if you don't close your mouth." I stated. His mouth closed.

I slowly and carefully helped Toshiro onto Luna. He must be at least 5"5' because I'm barley 5 foot and he's much taller than me.

(A/N I know Toshiro is short but I can't help it, this is MY fanfiction, I can do whatever I want! :P)

I ended up taking off Luna's saddle. Two people on a one-butt saddle felt way to awkward. I controlled Luna for what felt like 10 seconds, before Mr. Pushy took the reins out of my hands and said "I'm driving." Pushy, pushy...

We rode for what felt like an eternity. I ended up falling asleep in an awkward position, leaning against Toshiro's chest. I woke up to the sound of somene's voice, pulling me out of dreamland.

"Kairi, wake up," his voice was sleepy, and weak "Kairi-"

"I'm awake."

I straightened myself up so that I wasn't leaning against him. Toshiro stopped Luna at an old candy shop. Luna lied down and we got off. Toshiro tarted to limp his way tothe front door, gripping his arm as he went, only letting go to open the door. I stood there staring at the front door of the shop. It older than Tomas Edison, and even though we stood at east 15" away from it, I could smell old tuna coming from the building.

"Are you coming?" I looked up to see Toshiro holding the door for me. Uhh.... I looked up at the sky, it was getting dark. Margaret will worry if I don't get back.

"Toshiro I have to go back." I could hear my voice cracking, I didn't want to leave him injured and in pain. I have so many questions... But Margaret... "Toshiro, I'm sorry..." with that, I turned Luna around and ran.

After a while trees started to look familiar again and I found my way back to that large open area. Fear started to take control as I forced Luna to run faster and faster away from the terrifying face that sticked to my mind.

In the distance I could see the tin roof of the stables and stench of horse manure. Feeling safe I slowed Luna down to a walk. With my nerves calming down I looked up to the sky. Darkness had taken control, the only light that showed was the full moon, and stars that weren't hidden behind the trees. Margaret is going to kill me... The sky was so clear, I thought if I looked hard enough I could see my own reflection.

Once I was at the stables, I untacked Luna, brushed her down and put her back in her stall. As I walked out of the tack room I stumbled into something hard. Margaret's lucky clip-board.

"Juliana," her voice high pitch and angry "Where have you been? It's almost 10 o' clock!"

"I'm-"

"I know you're fustrated about trying to find a permanit home before you turn 13 and all but-Juiliana this is ridiulous!" She ranted on and on. When she starts yelling, you can't get one word out withour being cut off. I stand with my arms crossed, leaning to my left side looking at her through pieces of hair in my face. Finally she stayed silent for a full 30 seconds.

"Can I talk now?" I kept talking before she could go on another rant. " I took a nap and lost track of time. Simple as that." I could see the blood rising in her cheeks.

"I-I'm"

"Don't. Let's just go home."

I didn't like lying to Margaret. She was has always been there for me, but I know she wouldn't believe me if I told her what really happened. A shiver went down my spine just thinking of the real reason I was late. We got into the car and started to drive home. I fell asleep in the car.

Once we got home, it took Margaret three shakes and car horn to wake me up. I dragged my feet inside the tall white building. Margaret turned on the light as I made my way the the stairs. I got to the first step before hearing a shriek from behind me. I turned slowly...

"Juliana... Your pants..." her eyes were popping out of her head.

I looked down at my blue jeans. Blood was stained right between my legs. Toshiro's blood... When we were laying down in the grass!

"Juliana!" Margaret was clapping her hands to get my attention.

"Oh sorry!" I voiced a little bit higher than usual "It must be my time of the month; You know I'm really tired, I think I'm gonna go on to bed, love you bye!" faster than I could talk I ran up the stairs to my bedroom and shut the door.

I leaned on my bedroom door. Looking around the purple walls with the pink trim at the bottom. To the maple post bed with a thick purple blanket covering the full sized bed. I have to say, for a foster kid, I got it good. But not for long... I pulled myself off the door, and made my way to my bathroom that's connected to my room. I started the water then pulled off my clothes. Stopping to look at the blood stain on my pants. Another lie. I got in the steaming hot water, washed off, changed into pj's and went off to bed.

13 Days Left. 13 until my 13th Birthday...

I woke up the next morning with a killer headache. It was 6 AM on Monday morning and I already didn't want to go to school. I sat up in bed, letting my head fall into my hands. My long dark hair covering up my existance. I finally stood up, turned on the light, and walked to the bathroom.

Washing face and teeth, brushing through my long hair, and spraying a little perfume. Hey I only spray a little, no harm done! I walked to my closet and pulled on a simple white shirt and bootcut jeans. My bangs falling o my face as I put on my brown leather boots, and stuffed my phone in my back pocket.

I walked down the stairs, all the way to the back door. Walking out into the moist air. Fog had taken control of the of this one spot in the world. I tilted my head back, spreading my arms out beside me. Margaret's house was right next to the woods. In the morning, I loved going out for a walk. I don't know why, I just do.

Walking in, I found my favorite spot in the whole place. An old tree stump, that sat on the edge of the woods, and looked out to an abandoned field. The view would take your breath away. When I reached my stump, I saw a little white piece paper, taped to the seat of the stump.

Kairi,

Meet me in the open field

at 6:00 tonight.
