Hey before I start this chapter I wanted to get a few things out of the way. First I was thinking of another contest! YAY!!!
...
Ok maybe not. But I'm throwing it out there anyways because I need to know that people actually reading this and not just scanning it over. So. The first Character Contest is still open and will always be open. Mainly because I am one person, and I still have a concusion sooo... its still hard to think properly. The second contest will be a Drawing Contest! Yay?
...
Give me a break guys. The rules are simple. No R-Rated stuff, (;) not yet), it can be a new cover for the book or just art to put in the media spot, it can be of any character you please, and you must sign it at the bottom, or top, or to the right, or to the left... wherever. I want to give you credit if you want to enter. I will set up the info of where to send your drawing on my page thingy. Yeah that's it.
Ok next. I never thought I would say this, but please vote. My few voters thank you, but the rest of you, please push the little button. It says it all.
Also, I have updated some of the earlier chapters seeing as though my typing skills are not that great and when I had first starting writing this the program had no spell check. :( So I believe I fixed most of the mistakes I am very sorry.
Alright I'll shut up now. Enjoy the show.

I stared wide eyed at him. Silence smothered us like a pillow. Finally, my brain decided to work and words slipped out of my mouth.
"Why now?" I tried to control my quivering voice. His went wide as he said.
"Because this maybe my last chance with you." He looked straight into my eyes. Never breaking contact. "I have always liked you. And I want to be with you, and you alone. But I never had the courage to say it." Those words hit me like basketball to the face.
"Nobu, I-" Stopping myself. "Alright. One date. No promises after that." I could hear how cruel it sounded through my own ears, but I didn't know what else to say.
Nobu didn't seem to notice. He just jumped up and down like a kangaroo, full of excitement. He came up and kissed me on the cheek whispering in my ear. "You won't be sorry." and with that he bounced away merrily down the street.
I shook my head smiling and closed the door. Walking up the stairs to where Toshiro was hiding in the closet. Or so I thought. I found him at the top of the stairs with an angry look on his face.
"Who was that?" His tone frightened me.
"My friend Nobu..." I hesitated. Toshiro noticed it right away.
"You mean your boyfriend!" He practically screamed at me from the top of the mountain where he stood.
"He's not my boyfriend!" I yelled back. Surprised by my own voice. He was too. I could a rant begin in the pit of my stomach. "I agreed to go on a date with him because he's my friend and he looked so sad when I told him I wouldn't be able to see him for a while and I don't know when I'll go back to school, do you know how much work I'm going to have to catch up on? Nobu is not boyfriend he is just a friend and that's all!"
"..." Silence. He had a scared look on his face.
"I-I'm sorry..." I looked down at our shoes. Well his shoes and my ugly bare feet. Man I need a pedicure. "I don't mean to yell at you. I know you've done, a lot for me."
"Look at me." I didn't budge. I heard footsteps down the grand mountain. "Kairi, look at me." Still nothing. Finally he put his hand under my chin, and gently, lifted my gaze to his sparkling turquoise eyes.
