"He's so adorable when he sleeps." I said as I looked at my master Dyne an 18 year old boy with shoulder length blonde hair and tan skin as he was fast asleep cuddling unto his his pillow with his blanket barely covering his body, It's a shame I have to wake him up. I then crawled unto the top of his body and nudged him a little as he shifted in his sleep but still didn't wake up, I nudged him harder and he pushed me off the bed but was still sleeping. "Sorry about this." I said then crawled up beside him and placed my fist inches away from his chest as electricity started arching around it and slowly made contact with him as he got electrocuted and fell off his bed with a few twitches.

<Dyne's P.O.V>

"I hate it when you do that!" I shouted at Nathan my blue eyed Riolu that's been with me since I was 9 and surprisingly still hasn't evolved for some reason as he jumped onto me and hugged me "Stop it! How am I supposed to be mad at you when you do this?" I yelled at him as he hugged me tighter as I gave up and just hugged him back "I know, I know, I love you too." I said as I then broke the hug and went to take a shower, I filled the tub and went to relax in the warm water, but that didn't last long as Nathan jumped into the tub with a cannon ball and splashed the water everywhere and he was on top of me with a playful smile. "If you wanted to have a bath with me you could have asked." I said mildly irritated as I carried him off me and placed him in between my legs as I grabbed the shampoo bottle from behind, putting some of the substance from inside into my hand before placing the bottle back where it was. I rubbed it into his hands a little, then hovering back over him again. My hands were put onto his chest first, rubbing it into the fur using my fingers. He helplessly began to purr, closing his eyes again, letting me get to work. After the shower I a hair dryer, and I dried his fur fairly quickly. Then I dried myself off and put on my clothes, a blue shirt with black pants and shoes went into town to collect a certain surprise for my little sis, after getting it I placed it in the living and turned of all the lights and went hiding as Nathan went to get her, heh heh heh.

"Okay, okay, I'm coming. There's no need to-" My little sister Anna, a short, blue eyed girl with shoulder length blonde hair and tan skin like mine was saying until she got interrupted when the lights suddenly came on and I came out of hiding. "Surprise!" I yelled as I came out of hiding and confetti fell from the ceiling. "Happy birthday dear Anna! Happy Birthday to you!"I said as I walked towards her with a blue, green and white frosted cake and set it in front of her "Now, Anna. Make a wish!" I said as she closed her eyes, holding her hands together as if in a prayer, then took a deep breath in, and blowing out the ten candles that sat atop the cake. Nate and I clapped as I then got to cutting the cake for everyone, "Here's your slice, Anna... And you too Nate." The plates full of cake was then devoured by the hungry ten year old and the blue jackal as laughed slightly the party went on for about 20 minutes until... "So... big bro... now that I'm 10..." { Y e p  s a w  t h a t  o n e  c o m i n g.  L u c k i l y  I  p r e p a r e d  f o r  t h i s. } "Before we talk about that I have a present for you. I'm sure you'll like this." I said, giving the package to her. She smiled and instantly grabbed it, tearing the wrapping paper off, and inside the box was a belt, meant to hold six Pokeballs. She then hugged me and Nate tightly, "Thank you! I needed one of these!" "And that's not all." I said as I went into my pocket and brought out a Pokeball and tossed it into the air releasing the Pokemon inside which was a Chespin that stood proudly, standing as tall as he could, as though called to attention in the military. It looked average enough for a Chespin, but a quick look at its arsenal of moves was enough to put that thought to rest. Sporting the moves wood hammer, pin missile, dig, and synthesis, he was ready to take on the world, almost daring anyone to underestimate him. { O n l y  t h e  b e s t  f o  r m y  l i t t l e  s i s .} "I always wanted a Chespin!" She knelt before the grass-type, who still didn't budge. "Look at you! So cute and hardcore at the same time!" Despite his attempts, the Chespin couldn't withhold a small blush. She hugged him, catching him off guard. Giving in, his small tail began to wag, if only slightly. "And tough too. So how about a match to celebrate you becoming a trainer?" I asked with a slight grin. "You're on!" She agreed with a look of determination as we went to the in the backyard. "You're doing this one Nate." I said as he got into the battlefield ready for a fight. "It's our first fight so let's do our best!" She said as she sent out her Chespin who got into his battle stance with a look of pure determination "Use pin missile!" She ordered as a barrage of green pins came out of Chespin's spikes straight at Nate. "Dodge it with quick attack then use force palm." I ordered calmly as Nate followed my orders effectively dodging each pin then came in close to Chespin and delivered the attack straight to his chest knocking him back a few inches. "Use wood hammer!" Anna ordered as Chespin charged at Nate. "Counter." I ordered as Nate took the attack and countered back with an uppercut as Chespin came crashing down but landed on his feet, { h e  w a s  t h i s  r e s i l i e n t  w h e n  I  c a p t u r e d h i m  s u r e,  b u t  t h i s  t i m e  h e  s e e m s  t o  b e  t r y i n g  h a r d e r  t h a n  e v e r   m a y b e h e's  t r y i n g  t o  i m p r e s s  h e r. } "Use Dig!" She ordered as he dug underground. "Use your aura to sense his location then dodge it when as he comes out." I said as Nate closed his eyes and focused his aura so he could see his opponent as he was moving underground then jumped back as soon as he came out to attack "Now use Thunder punch none stop." I ordered as he did just that giving Chespin a series of thunder punches before finishing him off with one last right hook as Chespin laid on the floor running out of energy. "Use synthesis!" "Don't give him the chance! Close in with quick attack then use thunder punch once more." I ordered as Nate quickly got up to him leaving a line of light in his trail then forced palmed him in the chest knocking him back but he got back up with lightning arching around him showing that he was effectively paralysed. "Time to end this. Use focus blast!" I ordered as Nate focused his energy into his hands then launched it forward hitting Chespin and he went down with swirling eyes which meant that he was down as I went to his side. "You did great, but they were just a tad stronger." She said to him and helped him up as he groaned at his failure. "Good job Nate." I said to him as he jumps at me and hugs me as I hugged him back before setting him down and walked towards the duo "That was an awesome fight, not bad for your first time." "Thanks, but next time I'll definitely beat you!" She said with confidence as I rubbed her head. "We'll see about that little sis." I said then went into my pocket and brought out a Pokedex and gave it to her "That's a Pokedex you use it to look up info on Pokemon you don't know about. You can also use it to register nicknames to your Pokemon, so any ideas what you're gonna call your Chespin?" I asked as she thought about it for a few seconds but then decided on a name and typed it in. "Dyce. I'll call him Dyce." "Dyce the Chespin? Has a nice ring to it." I said as I brought out a Pokeball. "Let's get moving already." I said as I threw up the Pokeball as Striker a shiny Luxray that was about 3 inches taller than the rest of his kind came out of it and stretched his muscles before he lowered his head beckoning us to hop on which I did with Nate in front of me in between my laps but Anna just stood there staring at us nervously. "Come on sis. Santalune's not going to come to us" She gave us a nervous look as Striker descended to the ground on his belly as she slowly climbed onto his back with Dyce in between her and me. I got myself comfortable, making sure I wouldn't fall, and then I gave him a tap on the head. The massive cat stood up tall, assuming himself as my steed and released a loud roar as Dyce and Anna clinged tightly to me as if their lives were on the line. "Onward!" I said me and Nate's hands pointing forward and I gripped the fur around his face as he took off like a race Rapidash out of the gates. Using his fur like reins, I steered him in the direction we needed to go. I loved riding him like this. Feeling the wind blow through my hair, the adrenaline, it's amazing. I never feel so close to him as when I'm on his back speeding though Route after Route. It's if we were one being travelling at the speed of sound but it seems the feeling is not the same for my sister and was clinging so tightly that I thought my spine would break, I softly tapped Striker's head as he came to a slowly halt just outside of Santalune forest as our two new guest were breathing heavily trying to calm themselves down. "You guys okay?" I asked as they soon calmed down and gave us a slow nod as I rubbed Striker's fur "Onward... slowly." I said as he continued his on his way through the forest and a much slower pace but still faster than us going on foot. As we continued our way to Santalune City to get our first Gym Badge, the sun began to set, painting the sky in a fresco of orange, yellow and pink. It was a gorgeous. I tugged back on Striker's fur to get him to slow down and stop. As he game to a halt, he looked up at me with a big grin stretched across his face. I petted the Pokemon as I slipped off his back and landed on my feet with Anna following suit. Even if he was at full speed, I don't think we'd be able to get to the city before dark. But even if we could, I'd still camp out. I just enjoy being out in nature and sleeping under the stars, plus I want Anna to get used to camping out since as a trainer we're gonna be doing that a lot. We found a small clearing off the road and set up camp there. I set out my bedroll and got a campfire going. I got out a cooking pot from my bag and the ingredients to make my and mine, Nate's and sis's favourite, a beef and berry stew. The taste of boiled beef spiced up with Cheri and Chesto Berries was simply spectacular, especially on a chilly night like tonight. I let out my other Pokemon, Flash a Gallade with a bit of an attitude who was wearing a silver pauldron which housed it's Mega stone, Ryu an overconfident Charmeleon wearing a red scarf that was ripped at the end, Neo a Combustken that had decided not to express his individuality like the rest of my Pokemon and also acts as the voice of reason for my sometimes disfunctional team, Slash the cool Sceptile that wore a necklace that had it's mega stone, and finally my starter Kuro the silent shiny Greninja that had a X shaped scar on his back from an unfortunate training accident back when I started out my journey. "Alright everyone, as you already know this is my little sister Anna." I said as I placed my hand on her head as they all looked at her "Starting today we are once again going on a journey, she will be joining us on our journey as well, We'll be training, eating and sleeping together for the duration of it and I want you all on your best behaviour, is that clear?" I asked as they all nodded their heads in agreement. "Good... Now let's eat!" I said as I handed each of them a bowl of soup with a few namely Nate, Striker and Neo jumping in excitement while the others just stood there completely still. Apart from the sounds of Kricketunes singing the loud slurping of my Pokemon it was very quiet. I let out a deep sigh. I'm not used to this kind of quiet and tranquillity, normally by now Nate while be jumping like crazy, Slash will be picking fights with Flash with Neo trying to stop them and Ryu trying to burn down a random tree. But there was none of that, for once they actually listened and stayed on their best behaviour. { T h a t's  a  h u g e  l o a d  o f  m y  m i n d. } When we were done with our I recalled everyone back to their pokeballs and about ready to go to sleep until I heard Anna get out of her bedroll.

<Anna P.O.V>

I got out of my bedroll and looked at my older brother, he was already fast asleep and was sleeping in a tree branch I was about to go for Dyce but he was already wide awake keeping watch at attention I stepped forward and he turned in my direction pointing at the bedroll, it was obvious what he wanted. "I'm not that tired so I'll stay awake for a while longer." I said as I sat down in the tree stomp near him and stared at the stars "Beautiful night isn't it?" I asked as he looked up for a second then went back down. "You know, I still can't believe I'm finally starting my own journey. Big bro used to tell me of all the crazy things he'd do when he started his." I said as Dyce nudged my side and gave me a question look. "What is it?" I asked him and he started asking me things in hand signs. 

[IF HE HAD THAT MUCH FUN AS A TRAINER WHY DID HE QUIT] 

"Okay three questions. Where did you learn how to do that, how can you do that when you barely have any fingers, and why didn't you do that before?" I asked and am so glad that big bro taught me sign language but answered his question nevertheless "Oh yeah right... When I was a baby our parents died in a car crash and when he found out he immediately came back and decided to raise me, every time I brought it up he had this hurt look in his eyes but even now I don't think he ever regretted it. That's the major reason I had to become a trainer so he could go back to doing what he loves most." Dyce gave a look that held multiple emotions some of which I could tell as shock and mild confusion. 

[SO YOU NEVER WANTED TO BE A TRAINER]

 "No don't get me wrong. I always wanted to do stuff like that too to go on an adventure of my own, but I just didn't know what I wanted to strive for, I assumed I'd figure it out while I was out." I said as I averted my gaze from the stars to the ground. Then out of nowhere Dyce started shacking violently "What is it? What are y-" I was saying then I looked in front of me and noticed a faint light in the woods front of me, the light was in all the colours of the rainbow and was moving slightly almost as if it's alive I wanted to go closer to see what it was, to know more about it but I was too mesmerized to even move then it just vanished like it was never even there. "W-What was that?" I asked to no one in particular as Dyce still hadn't moved from his spot. Whatever that thing was I wanted to know more about it, no matter what.

<Unknown P.O.V>

I stared at the human girl and her Chespin keeping myself hidden, my original sights were on the male, the one who he refused to kill, the one that peaked his interest, the one that he sought his eyes on, I was about to take a step closer then the girl focused her gaze on me and then everything just... stopped. I stared into her blue eyes and for some reason was unable to look away even through my mind was telling to stay hidden I just couldn't. Is this what he felt that day? The day he first laid eyes on him? Regaining control of my body I quickly jumped the other way, my hooves barely making any sound as I made my escape. When I was sure I was far enough to be sure the human wouldn't be able to find me I recalled what he said to me that day 13 years ago. "My mind told me to do as my nature tells me to do. To destroy everything that stands in my way, to bring and end to whatever unlucky soul crosses my path. But when I stood there, staring into the fear filled eyes of the human boy that was before me... I just couldn't. For the first time ever I couldn't kill something." I never understood what he meant that day but now I do, even though I never planed to kill anyone, I must always be hidden by any means necessary and just now I was almost seen by a human and strangely enough. That actually excites me.
