Chapter 22.

Connor drives us home, I sit beside Connor, and Gaby gets the window seat. "How much do you know?" Gaby ask, worried. "Enough to know that you need our help." I say. "Do you know J-...never mind." "Who?" Connor says. "No one..." "Jack?! Jack?! Does he have something to do with this?!" Gaby stayed silent. "Does he?" I ask. "No, I was talking to him. But...he left me. He was supposed to come help me, but he never came...he said he would come with...Katie and Connor. Which are you two." She glances angrily at us. "He said we would come by himself..." Connor lied, giving me a "look" to go call Jack when we got home.

Around 30 minutes later, we arrived back home. "Connor, i'll be inside later. I have to call my friend." Connor nodded, him and Gaby went inside. I pick up my phone and call Jack. "Hello?" He said. "Jack, look. We found Gaby. She needs you Jack. She was looking forward to meeting and seeing you." "Chill Katie, i'm on my way to Hawaii. I should be here...late tonight. Meet at that restuarant, out on that island, k?" "Um...which one?" "The one that is like 3 miles away from y'alls house. Oh, and Connor told me which house, and that y'all moved, so yeah. Bye Katie. See you soon." He hung up.

The way he said "see you soon." Sent chills up my spine. Freaked me out a bit.

I walked back inside the house. Connor gave me the "look" again, and I nodded, and he smiled and gave a thumbs up. He the says, "Gaby is laying down in the guess room. Said she was really tired." "Okay, but we have to meet Jack at the restuarant, that is 3 miles away. Gaby can go also." "Okay."

"Tomorrow, we can go buy groceries and all that stuff for the house." "Alright babe." He said, and I go upstairs to lay down. All I could honestly do is think about, if Jack had something to do with this or not.
