"Okay Connor, not gonna beat around the bush anymore, I have questions." "I said i'll explain them in Hawaii." "Connor." I turn the radio down. "Look Katie...ask me one question, i'll explain the rest in Hawaii." "Nah, i'll save them." "Okay, but I have to tell you something, and i'm going to tell you, even if you don't want to hear it." "Okay, just tell me..." I say nervously. "I adopted you." He says calmly. "What?! Why?!" "Because, they said you had no family left, so I adopted you." "Then why did you live there?" "Thats my home." "Oh...so like...you adopted me?" "Yes I did, because I care Katie. I know whats it like when someone doesn't care about you. Its sucks..." Its clear he's trying to hold back tears.
At this moment I pull the car over. "Connor...don't cry. I'm here for you, and I care. You can trust me. Count on it." He smiles. "Thanks dear, same for you." I smile and get back on the road again. Connor is just the best guy ever, no one, i'm pretty sure, can compare to him.
