[seventeen years ago]
"In five, four, three, two. This is Jim Hellerman, reporting live for channel 2 news." A man reports in front of a back with other news stations and police man surrounding the area. "Outside of the Capital West bank at Main and Sixth." Jim tells the camera. "A group of heavily armed men stormed the bank not three hours ago and took an unknown number of hostages."

"Hey, get them behind the counter." one of the many robbers say as the alarms go off.
"Now you got me in a position where I gotta do something I don't want to do. Hmm?" He continues to talk into the speaker.
"Shit." he shouts. He turns to see a girl.
"Hey, get back with the others." The man points towards the hostages.
"I heard a rumor." Allison started.
"What? What did you say?" The man asked clearly angry and confused.
"I heard a rumor that you shot your friend in the foot." She says leaning closer the the man. He turns to one of his pals
"Hey, dude." He says a little nervous seeing his leader pointing a gun at him. "What the hell?" The guy says before getting shot in the foot groaning in pain. As he falls he shots the windows into an office area and makes a few hostages scream. I turn to high-five Allison and then looking up to see Luther dropping from the roof falling onto one of the robbers.
We all look to see Luther standing back up and grab the head of the robber and hitting it on the counter, but not till finishing him by throwing him out the window. I look over seeing Diego run out from his hiding place,
"Guns are for sissies. Real men throw knives." He says while running over but not with out throwing two daggers at a guy with a mask.
"Get back you freaks." The main guy stands on the counter pointing a gun at us, while we circle around him.
"Hey be careful up there buddy, wouldn't want you to get hurt." I say getting closer towards him. "Get back now." He says moving his gun around.
"Or what?" Five asks appearing behind the scared mad man. As the man starts to shoot, Five already disappeared to appear on the counter on the other side of him. The man turns around and points his new weapon.
"Ooh! That's one badass stapler!" Five says looking at him unphased. Then looking back at me while I hold the gun in hand. Five punches the man in the face and he falls on the floor.
"Do we really have to do this?" Ben asks unsure and scared. We all look at him.
"Come on, Ben. There's more guys in the vault." Luther tells him.
"Fine I'll do it with you." I tell Ben grabbing a hold of his hand.
"I didn't sign up for this." Ben says as we walk in.
"Yeah. None of us did." I whisper to him was we hear the door shut behind us.
"Should they stay for this?" questioned Klaus while pointing at the hostages.
"Um... no. Set em free." Allison says and the boys start pushing them out. All that was heard were screeches from the room Ben and Althea where in. The siblings watch the outlines of octopus arms going everywhere while grown men scream in pain.
"Can we go home now?" Althea and Ben say at the same time once the door opens covered in blood. All the siblings walk out and stand in the front of the bank looking back at the police men and news cameras staring back at them.
"People are coming out now. It's not the armed robbers." a news reporter tells his viewers. "These are young shoolchildren in uniforms with mask on." He continues. "Lower your weapon!" one police men shouts. "Jim Hellerman, channel 2 news." He says and continues to watch what happens next.
I look to see Ben looking at the floor and the others posing at the cameras. "When is dad coming?" I whisper to Ben. "Hopefully soon."
"Our world is changing." Sir Hargreeves starts. "Has changed." He looks at all of the people. "There are some among us gifted with abilities far beyond the ordinary. I have adopted seven such children." He says. "But Vanya." I whisper upset. Ben pats my back. "I give you the inaugural class of the Umbrella Academy." He finishes. News reports shout out questions and Mr. Hargreeves answers them. Sooner or later people are aware of us.
