"Who is this?" Paul asked, reaching down to pet the fluffy orange cat that nuzzled against his legs.

Natalie turned to look at him from the closet as she gathered the telescope into her arms, "Oh, that's Galileo, he's my cat." She chuckled as the cat closed his eyes and pushed his head further into Paul's hand.

Paul felt the cat's purring vibrate against his hand, and he smiled, "He seems lovely," He told her as he scratched behind the feline's ears. His hand moved to the cats white tipped tail, and he ran his hand along it as the cat moved away from him and jumped onto the window sill.

Natalie rolled her eyes, "Oh, don't let him fool you, he's a mess," she winked at Paul, and he tore his gaze from the cat and quickly moved forward to help her. He grabbed the end of the telescope, and between the two of them, they managed to get it into the car.

They drove back to her brother's club. He offered them dinner, but Natalie decided they would eat it on the roof while waiting for the sun to set. After setting up the telescope, the two of them sat on the edge of the building to eat their sandwiches.

"So what can you tell me about the stars?" He asked her between bites of his sandwich.

"The sun is a star," She said with a twinkle in her eyes.

He threw her a side-glance and shook his head in discontent, "I knew that already. In fact, I think most people know that."

"I know," She chuckled lightly, nudging him gently with her arm.

They locked gazes for a moment, and she gave him a mischievous grin before looking up at the sky, "Let's see, something about stars," She mused out loud, contemplating what she would tell him. "Hmmm," She hummed, "most stars travel the galaxy with companions or in bunches," She said, deciding it was something interesting enough.

Paul blinked, glancing at her, "Sort of like people?" He asked, thinking of his bandmates and various others in his life.

Natalie felt her cheeks flush and a warm feeling in her chest at his response, "Yeah, like people." She agreed lightly. Natalie liked the way Paul thought. He was insightful and softer than he led on.

The two of them finished their food just as the sky darkened and the twinkling lights sparkled above them. "Ready?" She asked as she dusted crumbs from her skirt and moved to the telescope to adjust it. Paul watched as she pressed her eye against it and fiddled with the knob. She grinned and pulled back to quickly move away so he could have a look, "There you go!" She exclaimed happily.

"So, what am I looking at?" He asked as he looked through the telescope.

"Double stars," She answered, "If you look directly up, you'll see it looks like one star, but when you see it through the telescope you can see it is actually two or small cluster of stars." She told him.

"So basically what we just spoke of?" He queried as he examined the stars through the telescope. He looked at the sky with his own eyes before moving back to the telescope to try out what she said.

"Yeah, basically." She chuckled, squatting down next to him to show him something else. He stared at the side of her face as she adjusted the telescope again. She was obviously passionate about what she was doing. It was evident in the way her brown eyes lit up every time she told him something.

"So, what's ya favorite star?" He asked her, his eyes shifting above the telescope and up at the sky.

She pulled back from the telescope and looked at him with a grin, "This one," She said, poking his nose lightly. She almost regretted her words and action, knowing just how cheesy she probably sounded.
