I couldn't believe that it was finally happening I had enough money to not only go to South Korea but live comfortably for a while without my parents support. That was surely to be gone as soon as they found out what I was up to.
I thanked my advisor and headed home to prepare everything.
As I got to my house I found an envelope which looked exactly like the weird letter I had thrown into the paper shredder. I was too excited to pay any mind to it so I threw it away again.
I went to go plan my trip and buy the tickets. I was set to leave the next day. Packing and leaving the things I didn't need.
I wrote a note to my parents letting them know what I was doing and left it on my kitchen counter.
I couldn't believe my life has finally come to the point where I wanted it to be.
The goal was to leave slightly later down the line but now that I found out I have enough it must be done now. I'll be following my dreams despite what this stupid barcode says. I wasn't about to lead a life I didn't want.
As I sat there thinking about my near future my phone went off.
