Chapter 5

5 years later...

The years flew by. Soon it was Harry's first day of Muggle School.

"PRONGSLET! Wake up!" James was yelling to wake Harry up.

Finally Harry woke up. He was very excited. He got ready so fast that a minute later he was ready to walk to school with his Dad.

"Ready to go to school?" James asked.

Harry nodded. He took James' hand and ran to school. When they reached James was panting so much it looked like he was ready to faint. When he caught his breath, he took Harry to meet the Principal, who took him to his classroom.

His teacher was very happy to see him. "You are the new boy, right?" Harry nodded. "I have heard you are very intelligent. The whole class will come in the next 15 minutes. Miss Granger has already come. Come and meet her."

Harry entered the class. When he saw the girl his eyes lit up. The girl also looked happy to see him. They started talking but could not discuss any important information as the teacher was listening to their conversation. When the students started filing in, Harry told Hermione to sit in the back with him. The others gave them weird looks.

Harry asked Hermione, "Is it because you don't have any friends?" Hermione nodded.

Harry looked nervously at her. "Ummm... Can I tell you something? Please do not tell anyone." He did not wait for her to reply. "I-I came from the future."

"Me too! I was thinking to ask you the same question when I saw that you recognized me."

Harry was happy to know that someone else had come from the time he came from. "But how can you come when you died in front of me?"

"Actually when I found out what Ron and Ginny had done. I created a dummy and charmed it to look and act like me. I tried to go back in time to the end of our seventh year but something went wrong and time turner sand was spilled everywhere. So, I was teleported to 1980. I suppose everyone died, of course, except you, so you came to headmaster's office and tripped, right?"

"Yeah. But what did Ron and Ginny do? Are all the other Weasley's good?"

"Yes. Only Mrs. Weasley, Ron and Ginny were against us. Even Dumbledore was involved. They had planned that Ginny would give you a love potion and then you would marry her. Then they would kill you and Ron and Ginny would get the money. Molly and Dumbledore had been stealing money from your vault since you were a year old."

"I'm gonna get my revenge. Dumbledore and Molly had tried to kill my parents in order to make me an orphan!"

"I have read about what you have done this time without becoming an orphan. You will have to deal with being the boy-who-lived again." Hermione giggled.

Before Harry could answer, the teacher started the class. Harry and Hermione were the only kids who knew the answers to all the questions. Harry was very happy by the end of school. He had had a lot of fun. He was also happy because Hermione was in the same class.

On the way back home, Harry asked Hermione, "Which house do you want to be in this time?"

"Last time the Hat was confused between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw but I don't want to go to Gryffindor with Ron this time. I want to take my revenge for betraying us. So maybe the Hat considers Slytherin. I am fine in either but it would be better if we are together because we are old friends so wherever you will be I will try to be there."

"Last time the Hat considered Gryffindor or Slytherin for me. I think I will be better in Slytherin even though I have studied till fifth year till now. I will accept Malfoy's hand of friendship and explain to him that all muggleborns are not bad and even we do not like the 'Weasley boy'. He might listen. So let's try for Slytherin."

They both bid each other goodbye. At home Harry explained his parents about how he saw strange things happening around Hermione and that she was a witch. They agreed that if he was sure he could tell her about the wizarding world. Of course, she already knew but his parents should at least know the half-truth.

The next day the teacher took a test in Math as a revision of what they had learned last year. The teacher knew that Harry did not go to school before this so she told him to try his best and gave an encouraging smile. When she checked his test the look on her face was priceless. Harry and Hermione tried to stop themselves from laughing but all in vain. He had received full marks.

Harry had a lot of fun with his parents and Hermione in the next few years. Finally it was about time for his Hogwarts acceptance letter to come. He could not contain his excitement. But his parents were worried about what Dumbledore would do. "Harry, there are a lot of problems that can come with that old man there. He could use Legilimency and take over your mind."

Harry pretended that he knew absolutely nothing about Legilimency. So James, on Harry's requests, showed him a practical application. That was when he got the shock of his life. Harry was a natural Occlumens.

"Wow! You seriously are a lot more powerful than I expected. But still he could do a lot more damage."

"Then how about you take the DADA position and Mum will help the healer there."

"Yeah. Nice idea. Why didn't I think of it?"

"Because you are an idiot who can think of nothing besides mischief?" Lily joked.

The next day James and Lily went to Hogwarts to ask Dumbledore if they could work in Hogwarts. Dumbledore had no other option but to allow them to take the jobs.

There were no more problems. The whole Potter family was going to Hogwarts and everyone was really excited.
