The First Game

Naturally, the first football game of the season was a rainout, meaning we spent hours on the band bus, unloaded all the equipment, just to fight to keep it dry, and load it right back up after complaining. Our uniforms were muddy, band shoes soaked, and we looked like a bunch of wet rats. I loved the fact we were here, you know, as the band to perform, but it was cold. As one of the only freshmen, it was only natural that I was given a hard time by practically everyone, despite the fact they were my friends. I was the "Happy, but extremely depressed" kid as Cayden put it. So that always led to people trying to be my therapist. Beluga claimed to be my therapist, and dragged Will into being his assistant. Cayden then came over to help and they all crowded around me. This was horrible on account of, I'm claustrophobic and have social anxiety. Suddenly, Madi came to the rescue. She pushed through them and quickly pulled me into her arms.

"What do you think you're doing to my child?" She had asked. They all appeared shocked at this because they all thought I was just me. A kid anyone could claim. Madi had proved them wrong. Take that you bunch of rusty spoons.
