It was raining. Of course it was raining, what else would I expect? And what was I doing in this rain? I, an absolute idiot, was running in the rain. Hazel and I were playing a new game: Keep The Hat Away From Kolby. I had the hat and was running across the grass when I missed the jump onto the sidewalk. My knee scraped against the concrete and I jumped right back up to throw the hat to Hazel. Kolby snatched it from the air, and it was over just like that. I stood up and my knee burned like a wound was being exposed to more air. I looked down to see blood starting to run down my knee, so I found Miranda and asked her where I could find a paper towel. She walked me to the protection of the overhang and asked one of the volunteers for a towel. They gave her one and she brought it back to me. She looked at me questioningly as I slowly brought it to my knee. Her face went from confused to extremely concerned in a matter of seconds. The blood made it look much worse than it actually was. She asked if I needed a bandaid, but I declined and walked back to the porch where Madi was. I hopped up onto the banister and continued wiping of blood. As soon as Madi saw the scrape, she went into mum mode. She asked Cassie to get some bandaids, took the paper towel, and began wiping more blood off my leg. Natalie was concerned with me needing a bandage, so she came to investigate. Madi was fussing over the fact I should be more careful when Natalie asked if I would like to clean it before putting a bandaid on it. I just shrugged and started to say no when Madi spoke up. She sighed with the fact I "don't take care of myself" and said that I would clean it. When Natalie brought the alcohol pad, Madi took it and began cleaning it. She bandaged it when she was done and started telling me to be more careful. She helped me jump down off the banister and hugged me. I was such a kid sometimes. Am still extremely childish actually.
