54 - Decision

A few days after Victor received the proposal, he immediately requested for the collaboration team to convene. As agreed by his wife the offer is truly tempting but he could not understand why he has some reservations. And he does not know where it is coming from. He does not want to have a poor judgement and he knows that the collaboration team can help him to gain confidence in the what ever decision that he will have on the offer. Though Laura wants to stay out of the decision process as she knows that she could not set aside what ever biases she has, she still could not help herself to voice out her view.

"Ang lalim naman ng iniisip mo. Let me guess si college crush yan malamang" Laura teases when she enters the President's room

"I don't have time for that Ri" Victor secriously uttered

"You seems bothered, what's wrongs?" Laura asked

"You read the proposal right? And you agree with me that it is really tempting" Victor said

"Yes. Why?" Laura briefly replied

"Hindi kasi mawala sa isip ko kung bakit may ganon tayong offer, while nung TVC ng brandy halos mag-makaawa tayo sa kanila para makabili tayo ng slot sa show nila" Victor said

"Well, nasabi naman ni Stella that they got impressed on the outcome of the TVC. Imagine, even without their help we were able to hit more than 100% of the expected sales" Laura said

"Naisip ko lang kasi yung clause na hindi natin pwedeng ilabas yung TVC sa kabilang network. I was just wondering what am I after for. Yung laki ng savings natin o yung makilala ang VictoRi Whisky" Victor said

"Well, I believe that you really need the opinion of the collaboration team if you have that kind of doubts" Laura said.

"I want to get your opinion first before I ask them. Biases aside Love, should we really accept this offer?" Victor asked

"We could bargain on some clause of the proposal" Laura said

"Such as" Victor asked

"I don't like the exclusivity of four episodes. Masyadong madamot. Though sakop nila ang 45% of the audience sa buong Pilipinas, yung remaining 55% pinahahatian pa nung ibang networks. I still want the 55% not to be left behind. Imagine, kahit sa social media hindi pwedeng ilabas yung TVC natin for one month unless accounts nila. Ibig sabihin, after one month pa mapapanood ng 55% of the audience and pinaghirapan natin. Hindi naman siguradong yung 45% will all buy our brand" Laura explained

"Bakit nga kaya may ganung clause?" Victor asked

"Marketing strategy nila perhaps, alam mo naman ang trend ngayon hindi lang yung mga shows, pati na rin TVC commercials inaabangan na rin nung mga tao. Lalo pa ngayon, iba ang atake natin kasi may mystery kung kelan magkikita ang dalawang characters natin" Laura said

"And maybe yun ang gusto nilang makuha, yung exclusivity na sa network nila yung first meet-up nung dalawang characters" Victor said

"You are correct" Laura said. "Ibargain mo na lang Love kahit less yung discount ang importante maipalabas natin sa lahat ng TV stations yung TVC" she suggested

"Let's see what the team has to say" Victor said.

"Let's go then and let's find out" Laura said

During the meeting Victor explains to the team with the help of Alfred the proposal. Most of them favors on Laura's point of view, they are all not in favor of the exclusivity.

"Kahit hati-hati yung ibang network sa 55% of audience share, I think it will not matter, ang gusto kasi natin is to introduce our product to everyone, hindi maganda if we get associated with any of the networks" Martha commented

"If we disagree with exclusivity hindi natin makukuha ang 30% discount" Sheila said

"Baka naman pwedeng yung number of episodes na lang ang ibargain natin" Alfred said

"There is something that I want to tell you guys, let's see if this would help us decide" Samantha suddenly butts in

"What do you mean Sam?" Victor asked

"Stella will get the highest position sa Sales and Marketing Group kapag nakuha nya ang TVC ng VictoRi Whisky. Their network is aware on how the audience are excited to see the first meet up of our characters. Come to think of it, We know na hindi nila mapataob ang rival network nila on a weekend and since may hype ang VictoRi Whisky TVC, sasakay sila sa hypa na yun. If you are to ask me, my vote is decline. Hindi ako magpapagamit sa kanila" Samantha revealed.

"Samantha has a point, after what they did to VictoRi brandy TVC, parang I don't want to trust them anymore. We were able to reach our target kahit wala sila" Gina said.

"What do you think Mr. President, shall we accept the offer or we stick on our initial plan?" Alfred asked

"I am thinking of accepting the offer but I will bargain on the number of episodes" Victor replied and no one dares to oppose

"Are you sure Mr. President?" Laura asked

"I want to give them a chance. If Stella gets promoted because of this then good for her, at least may utang na loob sya sa atin" Victor said

"Alright, it is settled then we will accept the proposal" Laura said

"Alice set a meeting with Stella, if she is available this afternoon much better, dito na lang sa office para hindi na tayo lumayo. Tell her that Laura and I want to discuss with her about the bargain" Victor said.

"Noted sir" Alice replied

"Meeting adjourned" Victor said

"Bakit kasama ako?" Laura asked as soon as they enters the President's room

"Walang iwanan di ba" Victor said

"Kaya mo na yan Love" Laura objected

"So papabayaan mo akong masolo ni Stella?" Victor asked

"I trust you Love" Laura replied while sweetly smiling

"I know but I still want you to come with me when I meet with her" Victor said

"Alright sabi mo eh, and since dito lang naman sa office ang meeting, maybe I can be a little mean when an instance called for" Laura said.

"Basta hindi dadanak ng dugo I don't mind" Victor said
