*Reader POV
Scarlett wasn't able to talk to the other kids because of them making fun of her fangs and stitches. Calling her names just like they did at school. Now that she wore the bandana and hid her stitches they have slowly moved on. Now she hasn't talked to anyone for 5 years and no one has really talked her for 5 years other than when calling her for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
*Scarlett POV
You had decided to go downstairs and get something to eat. You grabbed a bowl and a box of cereal from the cupboards, went and grabbed the milk from the fridge, and poured it into the bowl. You then sat at the table eating while all the other kids were busy playing games. You only ended up eating half of the cereal even though you were starving before you weren't very hungry now. The feeling had come back again. You've lost count of how many times it's come and gone. It was getting annoying and for a split-second you was thinking of actually listening to it. This place was horrid and you hated it. So maybe... NO!!!!! Just no!! Why would you even think of doing that!!! You know that you hate it but not enough to kill the people in it!! You shook of the feeling again and walked upstairs to your room. You didn't look out the window in fear of seeing the tall man again and hearing the voices you just laid down staring at the ceiling as always. You started to slowly drift asleep when you heard someone calling to you from downstairs. "Scarlett!! Come down for lunch!!!" as always. You walked down but saw no one at the table. This confused you so you back upstairs and checked the time. 3:30 the small clock read. It was to late for lunch. But then why... "Oh well" you sigh under your breath. You passed off the voice as your imagination and started bouncing the small black and white ball against the wall.
