First conversation

Noah

Ok so it was the end of the school day, i was waiting for my mum to come pick me up which i know we are going to have no luck there. I was sitting at my desk like i always do, writing in my notebook when i saw everlynn walk away from amber. Amber looked really upset so i decided to finally talk to her.
N"Hay, you ok"
She looks up at me so i decided to sit next to her, she sighed loudly, so i knew something was definatly wrong
A"Yeah I guess"
N"What's wrong"
A"I'm not sure, apparently the person I go to see during school is a therapist. I don't know whether that's a good or a bad thing"
N"Does it help you"
A"Yes"
N"Then it's a good thing"
I smile at her as she looks at me. I see her smile back at me. I wiped away her tears and held her hand,
N"Don't cry amber, it's ok. As long as it helps you then it's the best thing in the world ok"
A"Ok, thank you Noah"
N"It's ok amber, I don't like seeing people cry"
T"Amber, Austin Joe and Dianne are her for you"
I stand up and help her off the floor.
A"Thank you Noah"
N"That's ok"
I walks with her over to the cubby holes where she gets out her bag, i then walk with her over to the coat pegs and she gets her coat.
T"Noah, sweetheart mummy is going to be really late. She's trying to find someone to come and collect you"
Me and amber walk over to our teacher, i feel my eyes start to fill with tears, she held onto my hand like.
A"What's wrong"
N"It's nothing"
A"Noah it has to be something"
N"It's just, she's always late. Usually she can never find anyone to get me so I end up staying in the office for a few hours"
A"Not today"
She took me outside to where two teenagers were. One of them was a male with brown hair and blonde highlights. The other was a female, she was slightly smaller than the male and she had bright red hair. They both had massive smiles on there faces, i saw austin standing with them so i guessed that they were here for amber. I wasnt really paying attention to what was being said, and before i knew it amber had dragged me back into the classroom and was speaking to mrs campbell.
A"Mrs Campbell, Joe and Dianne said that if Noah's mum is ok with it that they do not mind looking after him for a while until she can come get him"
T"I will phone your mum Noah"
She walked away and came back after a short phone call saying that my mum agreed. Shocker. Even i knew she would agree. Mrs campbell gave amber a piece of paper and told her to give it to Dianne, which i'm guessing is the red-headed girl waiting outside. The piece of paper had a number on it which i'm guessing was my mums. Once me and amber had got my coat and bag we went back outside where amber introduced me to joe and Dianne. Which i now know are her foster sister, and her foster sisters boyfriend. They seem like nice people.
Once we got to joes house which we went to after we had been to the park, i got to meet joes sister And his sisters boyfriend. Austin went out with alfie (his sisters boyfriend), joe and Dianne went upstairs to do homework. Zoe (joes sister) made dinner, leaving me and amber 'watching a movie'. We didn't watch it we talked over it the entire time. Me and amber are now bestfriends, i'm really happy i'm not alone anymore.
It got to around 11 o'clock at night, finally i hear a knock on the door. Joe opens the door and then calls my name, i slowly walk out to see my mum. She doesn't look or talk to me, she just points to the car. I quickly walk out to the car and sat down, once we got home i ran up to my room and went straight to bed. I was so tired, and i had to get up early for school tomorrow.

I woke up at 6 o'clock to the front door slamming shut. Great. I have to make my own way to school again. I got out of bed and went downstairs, i made some toast and ate it. Once i was finished i washed, dryed and put away my plate. I then went upstairs to my room and put on my uniform before brushing my teeth and hair. I went back downstairs and put on my shoes and coat, before putting on my bag and leaving the house as it was now 8 o'clock, and school starts at 9 o'clock. I like to leave early incase i get lost or tired on the way, plus i have nothing else to do.
On the way to school i got lost, again. I couldn't hold it in any longer, i found a bench and sat down before bursting into tears. Why does my mum do this to me?
I sat here for a while before i heard footsteps running towards me, i looked up to see amber. She pulled me into a massive hug. Behind her was joe, Dianne and austin. Me and Dianne spoke for a little while about why i was crying before they took me to school.
For once in my life since daddy left, i feel wanted. All because of one person, amber. I'm so lucky to have a bestfriend like her.
I know shes my real bestfriend because i get this funny feeling in my stomach when shes around me, i can't stop smiling when i'm near her. She makes me so happy and i want to be with her all the time.
