On the run

They meet

He walked into the book store. He wasn't looking for anything in particular he just wanted to look around. "Excuse me do you work here?" He heard a sweet voice say. He turned around to see the most beautiful girl in the world. The light from the bookstore window made he brown hair look like caramel and her green eyes look like fresh squeezed lime. Her face was dotted with freckles like stars in a night sky. It took him a minute to speak
"Uh no I don't but I practically have this store memorized so I could probably help you" He said with a nervous laugh.
"Oh good because I've been looking for a while and I started to lose hope I'd ever find the book I came here for." They walked through the aisles and chatted
"So what's your name?" He asked
"Brooke. What's yours?"
"John, most common name in the world I know."
She laughed a wonderful laugh and he could feel his heart beat even faster than it already was. They eventually found the book and he walked with her to the counter. He didn't want to leave her side not even for a second. She checked out and he felt his heart drop. He'd never see this gorgeous girl again!
"Can you sign my book? Perhaps with your phone number?" She sounded confident, the exact opposite to how he was feeling. He nodded so he wouldn't trip over his words like usually and carefully signed the book.
"I'll call you... maybe." She said with a giggle and a wink.
"O-okay." He was on cloud nine and would never come down if he could help it.
