Melissa POV
Being back in California is weird I have been so busy and very other by New York that I've lost the feeling of a real home and a place where I enjoy to be with my family and friends.
"Good morning" Cameron showers me with kisses once he notices I'm awake.
"Good morning to you too" I smile as I smuggle up closer to him. He is incredibly warm and irresistible.
"I want to take you out today" he says as he nibbles against my jaw to my mouth.
"That's a first.." I smile as the small hairs on his face tickle my skin.
"Hmm.. but I got better things in mind first." His mood gets better and better with everyday passing that it's becoming strange but I'm interrupted from my thoughts when his lips crash to mine and he kisses me so passionately I nearly fall off the bed.
"Melissa Spence!" The hair raising voice bombs through the entire home and probably heard from Mexico, it reminds me of middle school when the voice will bomb through the house when I needed to get up for school.
I unwillingly detach myself away from Cameron and sit up to hear what's going on down stairs. I hear muffled sounds and furniture moving.
"It was probably nothing come back here" Cameron tells me trying to grab my waist to pull me back but I get up and make my down the stairs.
"Mel" Cameron whisper yells but I ignore him.
As I take each step down the stairs I spot her dead straight hair and perfect posture matched up with black heels.
"She is asleep Mrs Spence" Dylan tries to convince her.
"You hush" she instructs Dylan as she holds up her hand to silence him and he tries as hard as he can not to fight back.
"Melissa had a long night." Mia tries to compromise with her again.
"Of course she would that hopeless case keeps her stressing all the time" she rolls her eyes and I see Dylan getting really mad.
"I mean look at hi-"
"Mother" I say before she could continue her hateful rage.
"There you are!" She yells standing up from her seat as she walks over to me wrapping her perfectly manicured fingers around me.
"What are you doing here?" I ask her with a slight frown.
"I was speaking to Mia's mother and she told me you were here I though I would visit you but you obviously have just woken up, you should next time present yourself better" her eyes scan my body with a slight disgusted look.
"I'm fine mother" I say through gritted teeth.
"Not just for me honey but your living with Mia and him..." She trails off and looks past me looking for something or someone.
I silently hope that Cameron doesn't walk down at this moment.
"Would you like some tea?" Mia asks politely.
"Yes, lemon and herbal tea." she nods and I take my mother to the back yard as I spot Cameron's head pop out, he looks petrified and Dylan has to push him back up.
"So why are you back?" She begins and I shrug, "Needed a small break."
"From that monster of course you would" my mother laughs devilish laugh.
"Mother don't talk li-"
"His here isn't he?" She questions shaking her head and I stay quite why shall I lie.
