Althea

Sitting down on my bed, I took in a deep breath and stared around. Everything was the same. Everything but me. It was chilling.

"So." Peter's voice pulled me out of my thoughts. "A goddess queen huh? Well you sure look the part."

I smiled, looking down at my hands in my lap. I had changed out of my gown and into leggings and one of Peters sweaters I had stolen. I had missed my leggings and sweaters. "Pretty crazy..."

Peter walked over, the door shutting behind him. He sat down next to me, placing his hand on my knee. "Hey, what's wrong?"

I sighed, peering up at him. "I thought I would come back here and everything would be normal again. But the normality of everything is what's making me feel so.... out of place.... I'm not the same girl I was when I left. What if.... what if the girl I am can't live on Earth? What if .... what if you don't like the girl that I am...."

Peter cupped his hands around my face, bringing me to look fully in his eyes. "Hey, no. I love you Althea Stark — all of you."

"I'm not even sure I'm Althea Stark anymore after a year of being Althea Biakóri," I said. "How do you know if you will still love me?"

"Because I know you," he said, sternly. "I know that when you're tired, you twitch your face to try to stay awake. I know that you stop every time you see an animal on the streets. I know that you hold my hand when you're scared, nervous, anxious or even happy and I know that you watch Stardust when you're sad and that you can quote Tangled word for word and much, much more."

"The new responsibility and maturity forced upon you doesn't define you and neither does a new title or deity status. You are Althea Maria Stark. And I would love every single version of you."

I smiled softly, placing my hand on his cheek. "I missed you, Peter. There wasn't a single moment that I didn't think about you."

"I missed you too, Althea," Peter said, leaning in my hand. "I knew you weren't dead. I got the flower."

"The flower?" I asked.

He reached into his pocket, pulling out an odigóbelle. As I reached out for it, the purple flower glowed brighter. I let out a short chuckle, looking up into Peter's brown eyes. It was surreal, being back here with him.

"I'm assuming since you kissed me earlier you didn't find yourself a new girlfriend," I said with a smirk.

"No, there's only you Althea," he said, sincerely.

I stepped closer, cupping both my hands over his cheeks, ready to kiss him. But then I remembered my quest; remembered that tomorrow I would have to go searching for those damned Gems. I sighed, stepping back from Peter.

"I can't stay Peter," I said. "Thanos is still out there - the infinity stones are out there and.... there are these... gems with really cheesy names that I need to retrieve so that I can kill him and save the world."

"We have the infinity stones," Peter said.

"I know," I said. "And I need to take them with me on my trip to get the gems so that Thanos can't find them as easily."

"Well.... I can... I can come with you," Peter said.

"What?"

"I can come with you. Help you find these... gems. And protect you.... though, you clearly don't need anyone's protection and I might end up holding you back... I guess I shouldn't —"

"Peter," I cut him off, chuckling slightly. "You're not going to hold me back."

"So.... is that a...?"

"Yes," I said. "No.... I don't know. It's going to be dangerous and there might be space travel and I don't know when we'd be back — your aunt and school and... other stuff. I mean... it's your choice, but you need to know what you're getting yourself into."

Peter nodded. "I know. I want to go with you."

I bit my lip but nodded. "I want you to come with me."

Peter smiled, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me closer to kiss me.

"So... her mother is a goddess?" Pepper asked.

I nodded. "A bitchy one, at that."

"And you spent over a year on a planet with only goddesses?" She asked. "Should I be mad?"

I chuckled and shook my head, putting my hand on hers. "Not at all."

"Good," Pepper said. "Because I would like you to be involved in our child's life and I don't think I would have let you if you slept with some goddess."

"Yeah that would be awkward," I said. It took a minute for her words to really resonate with me. "Wait... you don't mean Althea... do you?"

Pepper chuckled, shaking her head. "I'm pregnant, Tony."

I smiled. "Oh my god that's great! I'm going to be a dad again! .... Althea is going to kill me."

That night I struggled to stay asleep. Peter fell asleep a few minutes after we laid down. I was only three days into my time in Fraygard when I realized he had fallen asleep. My head was rested on his chest as I tried to fall asleep after waking up for the third time that night. I looked up at Peter who was peacefully sleeping, and slowly made my way out of the bed and out of my room.

The avengers facility was eerily quite at this hour. As I walked past the living room to head to the workshop, I saw Uncle Steve, Bruce, Clint and Aunt Natasha sprawled out on the couch or the floor, papers surrounding them all. There were also a few people I didn't know, including a tree and a raccoon. I guess I had seen odder.

I put my hand on the scanner to let me into the workshop and stepped inside, immediately finding my way to the suit my dad was working on for Peter before everything blew up.

I spent a few hours tinkering on it before the door opened up, Uncle Thor entering the room. "Hi kid."

"Hi uncle Thor," I said, wiping some grease off my forehead. "I met Nona.... she's really amazing."

"She's okay?" Thor asked.

I nodded. "She'll be here in the morning. Her and I are making our journey to find the Gems of Harmony... Loki will also be with us."

Thor smiled. "Thank you Althea, for making sure my family was taken care for."

"You're family is my family Uncle Thor," I said. "You can come, y'know. With us. I mean it's where all the action will be. Nothing will happen here except for a massive slumber party."

Thor chuckled, allowing me to do the same. "You've sold me, Althea. I'm in."
