"Kirishima!" Toshiro called, waving to get his attention.
"Hey man!" Kirishima called back, returning the wave. Kaminari waved shortly after, straw in mouth looking like he's about to die.
"You good man?" Toshiro asked, sitting in the empty spot at the table.
"Dare," Kaminari gasped, making Jirō chuckle to herself.
"You put him up to this, didn't you? Look at him. He's dying." Toshiro said, gesturing to Kaminari who was now lying face first on the table.
"It's not my fault," Jirō said, defending herself. "Entirely. Momo encouraged him too!"
The woman who had been quietly watching now made a large gasp, slapping her and to her chest. "Excuse me! How was I supposed to know that simply informing him that he most likely couldn't an entire large cup of boba tea in one go would just him encourage him!"
"Because he just... does things sometimes," Kirishima says, leaning back in his char and crossing his arms.
The group solemnly agrees. They were, in fact, friends with a dumbass.
Toshiro leans over the table, poking Kaminari on the head a few times. "Hey man. Are you dead?"
"Mmmm.... Nooooo," Kaminari groaned.
"You definitely sound like you're dead." Jirō smiled, twirling her earphone jacks around her finger.
"I'm not," Kaminari groaned again. "I feel like he head is a chunk of ice, though."
"Then you, my good sir, are in the process of dying." Toshiro laughed.
"He'll be fine," Kirishima said, patting Kaminari on the head. "I think."
"I'm sure he will be," Momo said. "Just give him a bit of time. That being said, how has everyone's day been so far? Toshiro, we haven't heard much from you in the past few days, what have you been up to?"
"Honestly? Not much," Toshiro says, taking a sip of his tea. "I just got caught up with some training. I've been working really hard to try and learn how I can use my quirk to my advantage when I'm up against people I'm not equipped to fight."
"Let me guess, you've been training with Mr. Aizawa?" Jirō asked, her voice dripping with a mocking tone as she smirked.
"Well I mean- I wouldn't say--" Toshiro started, frantically moving his hands and his face flushing red.
"Oh, please," Jirō cuts him off, stirring sound her boba with the straw. "You're obviously his favorite."
"He's our homeroom teacher! Of course, I would be training with him!" Toshiro defended.
"It is true that he seems to favor you, Nakamura," Momo spoke, making him go quiet.
Toshiro scratches the back of his head, his blush slowly starting to fade. "I guess I do spend a lot of time with him..." In truth, it was Toshiro who made Mr. Aizawa his favorite. He has just so enraptured of what he could do without his quirk, that Mr. Aiawa just kind of became his support system. And Mr. Aizawa, being a part of the "my students are little shits but if you hurt them I'll murder you" club couldn't help but try and help build Toshiro's confidence in himself and his quirk, which meant training. Toshiro felt a little bad, now that he thought about it. Did Mr. Aizawa actually like him or is he just doing it for his sake?
"Well, it doesn't matter if the caterpillar man favorites you," Kirishima says, almost as if sensing Toshiro's internal conflict and giving him a soft punch on the arm. "You're incredible, even without anything he might be giving you." The rest of the group gave their own confirmation of the statement as well.
Toshiro sighs, giving a small smile. "Thanks, guys."
