november 2018"His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales has asked to meet with you, Princess Jamila." Adela said as we entered the waiting car.
"So, that's why I'm in London to meet the Prince of Wales." I said.
"It's more than that Princess, the Prince of Wales is looking for a future wife for his nephew, Prince Christian. He thinks you could be the perfect spouse for his nephew. He made very excellent points on why a marriage should happen between the two of you." Adela said.
"Does my parents know about this?" I asked.
"Your father is a little hesitant with the idea but your mother is all for it but it's all up to you. They don't want you to feel as if they are forcing you." She answered.
"An arranged marriage? I never thought I would have to deal with such a thing." I said.
"I was just as shocked as you when I received the call from the Prince of Wales and your mother, the Queen seemed so pleased with the idea." Adela said.
"Well, it's been a common thing for royals for so many years but I thought with the new generation of royals this would have stopped but I guess I'm wrong." I said.
"Don't over think it, Princess, we're just staying the week to hear out the Prince of Wales and meet the British royal family." Adela said.
"Will the prince who he wants me to marry be there?" I asked.
"Of course, Prince Christian will be there." Adela answered.
"What is his position in the line of succession for the throne?" I asked.
"I thought you didn't care for status." Adela replied.
"Just tell me." I said.
"He is currently eighth to the throne." Adela said.
"Eighth?" I asked.
"Yes, ma'am but don't worry if you do marry him, he will automatically assume your royal status but you will have to assume his ducal status." Adela answered.
"I'm not worried about status. I'm worried about why someone who is eighth in line to the throne is in need of an arranged marriage." I said.
"He hasn't had very much luck in the love department, Princess." Adela said.
"How bad is his luck?" I asked.
"His last girlfriend cheated on him and sold private messages between them to a newspaper and even wrote a book on their time together. Now, she's currently pregnant with his former best friend's baby. That's how bad his luck is." She answered.
"I feel sorry for him. I would have raised hell." I said.
"Oh I know you would." She said.
"I'm glad you do, Adela." I said.

"We have arrived." Adela said as a guard came and opened the door for us.
"Thank you." I said as I step out of the car and take in my surroundings.
"Hello, Your Royal Highness, I'm Clive Alderton, Principal Private Secretary for the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall. I will be taking you to the drawing room where the the Prince of Wales and his family are currently waiting for you." Clive said as he bowed his head in greeting to me.
"Hello, Mr. Alderton." I said politely.
"Right this way, Your Royal Highness." Clive said as he leads me into the townhouse.
