"Bloody hell mother. Why can't you just keep your mouth shut?! Honestly, can't get a little peace on this holiday" Janice sighs as she perches herself on the edge of the sunbed beside her husband Mick.
"Your joking aren't ya! Hell would freeze over the day you'd get your mother to keep her gob shut!" Mick smirks at Madge causing her to growl.
"Someone needed to make a stand, and your useless excuse of a husband isn't going to get off his fat arse to do that." Madge glares towards the bar where her newest shouting match opponent sat talking to the greasy barman. Madge would never admit that she was almost impressed by the girl's courage and loyalty.
"Why can't you just go apologise, you were out of order" Janice complains as she spares a glance to the woman at the bar feeling guilty for her mother's sudden outburst; there was really no reason for it.
It had been an odd day to say the least, only hours earlier were she feeling completely overwhelmed by the news of her mother's health, her mother had been so polite and caring. Now that she had the all clear and no longer thought she had a mere six weeks to live, her mother's mood had drastically changed back to the old Madge they all knew and loved, well on some level anyway.
"I'm not apologising to her; did you not hear the way she spoke to me? She's lucky she didn't get a right good slap across her pretty little face!" Janice rolls her eyes at her mother's words, honestly her mother could be really immature at moments. Mick chuckles "one good slap to your face Madge and her hand would have been forever bleached orange!" Michael laughs earning a stern look from his mother.
"Enough of that! If you're not going to apologise then I will" Janice stands with a small, exhausted smile "same again?"

At the bar, Angelica sat sipping at her cocktail with a frown, she couldn't understand what some people's problem were with her father. He was a beautiful human, he did all he could to help others, he dressed as he pleased and she loved him for it. He taught her from an early age to accept and love the person she is, to not compromise who you are for the love of another. She sighs deeply and pushes her drink aside "are you okay?" she nods weakly, feeling Mateo's eyes on her.
"Yeah, just having a moment."
Mateo frowns as he watches the woman before him, he had never seen such raw beauty like hers, she captivated his attention just by merely walking into the room, it surprised him how much she played on his mind throughout the short time he had known her.
"Hello, love?" Angelica lifts her gaze to look at the woman.
"Look, if your here to have another shouting match over your mother then save your breath cause I'm really not in the mood" her voice is soft but firm as she turns back to her drink.
"I'm here to apologise for my mother's behaviour, she can get a bit rude when she hasn't had a ciggy every half hour." Angelica smiles at the woman's words, at least her daughter could see how rude her mother was.
"Yeah, I probably should apologise too. I did have a right good shout at her." Janice smiles waving a hand "I'm just impressed that you took on my mother, even I don't do that" the two women chuckle as Mateo places the drinks Janice ordered on the bar top. Angelica already liked Janice, she could see that she was strong and kind, it was surprising to see how well Janice had turned out considering the mother she had.
"Right, well, I better get back with these drinks" Janice lifts the drinks slightly as a gesture and smiles.
Angelica nods as her eyes follow Mateo as he serves a woman on the other side of the bar "if that one jumped into my bed; I wouldn't have the heart to kick him out" Janice nudges her with a smirk.
