We

We…

We have got the wrong impression

There is a slight change in people’s expressions

One doesn’t becomes a slave

With chained hands and graves

There is no need of a dictator

No use of worrying over the wrath of predators

Hunger and starvation doesn’t only cause us pain

Neither do only lives bound by chains

Bleeding bodies and shattering souls

Or a stone between one’s goals

They hurt in the most mocking way

But it is not one’s decision to stay

Today being enslaved doesn’t only comply being cuffed

It is our own deed and a tad bit roughed

We- the birds of the 21st

Live purely to quench our own thirst

We- the most gentle kind

Have become the slaves of our minds

We- the achiever of heights

Are chained by ethics and mindless rites

A/N- I don't know why I wrote this poem in the first place but I really like it. Hope you like it as much as I do....
