One month later
"Dad's worried we won't have enough money to pay for the funeral." William said. "He says we have to cut out any extra expenses for a year."
The two boys were lying in the grass, next to the baseball field. William had become even more quiet, ever since the tear-filled moment when the doctors told williams father that something had gone wrong.
"I just can't believe that Paige is gone." William whispered. Jack turned on his side so he could face William. "She'll never give me a piggyback ride, or help me with baseball ever again." William's eyes filled with tears, like a grey puddle in a never ending storm.

"I'll walk you home." Offered jack. The boys stood together in silence, facing each other. William's eyes were red and puffy, his nose runny. The back of their jackets were covered in grass. William laughed quietly, and started brushing the dry grass off of Jack's black jean jacket.
Sorry for the really short chapters. I could make them longer but then I probably wouldn't update for a long time.
