I stood on top of the roof of a house not too far from Yorozuya. The rain was pouring down and night streets were empty.

Gintoki didn't visit Yoshiwara again so I figured that he may have truly moved on with Sarutobi but I ended stopping here before making my way to her house.
There wasn't any sign that anyone was home at Yorozuya. I sighed and hopped onto the next roof. I had hope that maybe I would see him so that I could at least talk things through.

It wasn't long before I reached Sarutobi's house
I knocked on the door, I could hear her speaking so I pressed my ear against the door.
"Gin-Chan! Wait here and I'll get the door" she squealed
'Gintoki's inside? Maybe I should turn back' my thoughts were interrupted by the door opening.
"Tsukuyo?"
"Umm i-i should go" I turned to leave but she grabbed my arm

"Come in" she smiled. I walked in and she leads me into one of the rooms, I sat down and noticed a figure by the table with its head resting on the surface.

"ohh Gin-chan" Sarutobi hugged the figure which turned out to be a blow-up Gintoki doll. I was lost for words watching her hug that...that doll? I knew how much she like Gin but this was weird. 'so this was the Gin-chan she was speaking too'

"so Tsukuyo why did you pop by?" she patted the doll on its head. "ahh... I wanted to talk to you about you and Gintoki...I went to see him last night and when I got there I saw you and him-"

"Y-You were watching how much did you see?" she blushed deeply

"n-not much I left as soon as I saw you guys...I really want to know if this thing with you and Gin is real?"

"Ohh I see, you thought that after you had completely neglected him for a month you could just walk back into his life? do you know what that did to him? at least he's with me someone who actually cares about him!" she stood up

"I do care about him!"

"then why did you stop speaking to him? He left every night to go and see you!  If you saw the look in his eyes he was heartbroken Tsukuyo! and you, you did that to him"

"..." there was nothing I could say because she was telling truth.

"did you even love him?" I looked at her shocked that she would ask that. Tears were falling down my cheeks "I love him so much...he was the first man to love me with my scars. So don't you ever question me about my love for Gintoki! you'll never understand!"

Sarutobi steps back, and I walked passed her slamming the front door behind me.

Walking through the cold streets I wiped my tears away 'I've been so stupid and now I've let him go...maybe I should just leave, find a new place and start new I wouldn't be able to handle seeing him with her...I just can't"

And that's exactly what I did, by morning I was gone...

"Morning, miss, will you be staying with us today?" The woman at the desk spoke

"Yes but It may be more than a day" I handed her the money

"Don't worry, just pay each day of your stay" she smiled

"Umm, do you know of any available jobs?"  if I was going to stay in this new town I had to find a way of supporting my self.

She looked me up and down "Well...I know the hostess bar is looking for new female workers and looking at you I guess you'll be a good fit.

"ahh-"

"they pay really well trust me, I can even call in a favour for you plus you look like you can handle your self if anything gets out of hand"  she smiled again

"ok"

"Great! meet me at my desk around 9 and I'll introduce you to the boss"

I unlocked the door to my room, plain bed, basic kitchen...it was okay

"this will do for now" I placed my bag down on the bed and unzipped it, taking out clothes and extra weapons. I placed the weapons in secret areas in case of an emergency and packed my clothes away.

My heart ached but this was the best option for me to get over him...
