"Dean? DEAN." Sam waved his hand in front of Dean's face, finally getting his attention. He shook his head in an attempt to clear his dazed mind and looked up at Sam who was studying him carefully. "Dude..."

"What?" He returned in a defensive tone closing the thick book of werewolf lore sitting in front of him. He rubbed his face trying to redirect his thoughts. They had been reading and digging through lore since he had gotten back to the motel room.

"You were spaced out. Everything cool?" Sam asked cautiously.

"Yeah, I'm good." He said he pausing for a beat. "So we're dealing with a werewolf, let's just find the sonuvabitch and pump some silver into him." He offered in an attempt to change the subject.

Sam shook his head, "I'm not sure it's that simple, Dean."

"What? You think we're dealing with a pack?" He sat back in his chair. "Or is it a lone wolf..." He said chuckling at his own joke before clearing his throat. Sam rolled his eyes.

"I'm not sure. I've been looking back through the town's recorded deaths, and if they're not covering anything up, these are the only deaths like this in...ever." Sam said with a sigh. "And the lunar cycle isn't exactly adding up either."

"So, a pure blood?" Dean asked getting up, he made his way into the motel kitchenette and poured himself a cup of coffee. He studied the cup thinking of how good the coffee Olivia had made before he left had smelled. He took a sip of the stale coffee and gulped it down looking back at Sam.

"Possibly..." Sam shrugged.

Dean's attention was briefly drawn to Castiel who was sitting on the bed watching an old episode of The Three Stooges on the television, that Dean had put on, causing him to laugh. He turned his attention back to Sam.

"So, let's go talk to the wife and see if anyone wanted this guy dead." Sam nodded in agreement before shutting his laptop and running his hands over his head.

"You sure you're good...you seem a little distracted?" Sam pushed.

Dean started to open his mouth before he was cut off by Cas. "He's infatuated with Olivia." He began bluntly. "I can smell your pheromones and sweat...and your heart rate increases when you think about her. It's like an adolescent...going through puberty."

Sam raised his eyebrows looking between the two men. Dean coughed as his mouth gaped open for a moment before Cas continued.

"She does the same." He finished turning his attention back at the television. He looked at Sam who had a small grin on his face. Dean shook his head.

"Shut up." He warned Sam.

Sam smirked and put his hands out in front of him in an attempt to show his innocence. "I wasn't gonna say anything, but Dean, come on."

"Come on what?" He said defensively. "I mean sure she's sweet and beautiful.... and I mean we had an amazing time together..." He trailed off a glazed look coming over his eyes. Sam cleared his throat and cocked an eyebrow.

"Amazing?" He challenged, immediately causing Dean to regret his choice of words. Even with the number of women Dean had slept with, he had never willingly divulged details to Sam.

Dean rolled his eyes. "We had a good time together, and she's great. I needed last night, but I'm not about to pull her into all of this." He finished. "End of discussion."

Sam rolled his eyes getting up grabbing his suit and making his way to the bathroom. Dean looked at Cas who was already studying him.

"And you...stop...smelling me. It's creepy, Cas." He shot at him with a glare. Cas nodded in understanding. Dean sat down next to him on the bed sighing.

"Dean, why are you embarrassed by your affection for her?" He asked as his brow furrowed in an attempt to understand.

"I'm not Cas, I...she's great. But she's not like the other women I've been with. She's different." He paused trying to make sense of his own words. "I shouldn't have...I should have picked someone else." He shrugged looking down at his hands. He could tell Olivia wasn't the type of women that had one night stands, even though she had with him.

"Perhaps there's a reason why you did..." Cas offered, making it sound so simple. They both looked up as Sam walked out of the bathroom now in his suit looking between them before settling on Dean.

"Let's get going." He said. He nodded patting Cas on the shoulder as a 'thank you' for their talk. He grabbed his suit and slipped into the bathroom changing quickly.

He exited the bathroom noticing Sam was already waiting in the car for him, he grabbed his phone with a sigh and said goodbye to Cas before heading out to the car. He slipped in holding his hand out to Sam for the keys. He took the keys and started up the car. He was greeted by Bob Seger's 'Night Moves' blasting on the radio. He looked over at Sam who was now laughing as he grinned shaking his head as he pulled out of the parking lot.
