"Liv? OLIVIA!?"
Snapping out of her trance, Olivia jumped slightly before removing the pen she was chewing on out of the side of her mouth. She set it down on the blank page of her notebook in front of her. She looked up at her boss as she cleared her throat, straightening herself in her seat.
"I'm sorry, Sue. I..." she said sheepishly
"Can you spearhead 'Parents Night' next month?" She sighed placing a hand in the pocket of her crisp suit pants. Olivia blinked a few times before nodding slowly.
"Uhm, yeah. Not a problem." She smiled weakly glancing around the room seeing her colleges' eyes watching her. She picked up her pen again, tapping it nervously on her notebook as they continued the weekly after school meeting. Leaning her chin in the palm of her hand, she began to feel the exhaustion from the day set in. It had been a long day that seemed never-ending. She sighed to herself as the meeting droned on for what felt like an eternity.
She couldn't help her mind drifting to thoughts of Dean Winchester. She could not seem to wrap her mind around why someone as interesting and good looking would be interested in her. She couldn't stop a voice in the back of her head from thinking whatever there seemed to be between them was too good to be true. She would just have to enjoy it until their time ran out she told herself. So, she resolved to stop herself from thinking about his ruggedly handsome face, his amazingly bright smile, and the light smattering of freckles she noticed along the bridge of his nose that complimented his viridescent eyes perfectly. And she definitely wasn't going to think of his full, pink full lips against hers.
After what seemed like another year Olivia was broken out of her trance as her co-workers began standing up and packing up their things. She yawned as she stood up, collecting her notebook and pen that was decorated with new bite marks. With a sigh, she made her way out of the conference room through the front office and towards her classroom to collect the things she was too lazy to bring with her to the meeting. She ran a hand through her hair as Jenna, the secretary, waved her down.
"Liv, Hey...you have someone waiting for you up at your classroom." She smiled knowingly. Olivia narrowed her eyes.
"Is it Ollie's grandmother again...I really can't -" She sighed as she was cut off.
"No...um...it's a guy...a really attractive guy." Jenna winked at her.
"Huh?" Olivia's eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she studied Jenna's face before moving her eyes to the sign-in sheet on the desk, looking to see if this 'really attractive guy' had signed his name.
"I didn't have him sign in since it was after hours technically and he said he was here on business." She shrugged.
"Oh, okay. Thanks, Jenna." Olivia thanked her and started the trek back to her classroom.
Olivia walked down the long corridor as she felt the knot in her stomach becoming increasingly tighter with each step she took towards her classroom. She wracked her brain trying to think of who could be waiting for her. The only attractive guy she could think of, or wanted, to be waiting for her at her classroom was...well she wasn't supposed to be thinking about him anyway.
As Olivia rounded the corner of the hallway of her classroom she could feel her heart sink as she laid eyes on Sam, Dean's brother, standing by the door of her classroom. He was talking into his cellphone a serious expression on his face as he shifted his gaze from the floor to her.
"No. If you hear anything let me know." He paused, "Yeah. Thanks, Cas." He sighed and returned his phone to the pocket of his suit pants.
"Everything okay, Sam?" Olivia smiled politely, looking up at him. Sam nodded and smiled weakly.
