Chapter 4: Bets

Emily's P.O.V.

We finally caught the unsub and we finally get to go home. Ever since Spencer and I almost kissed, I've been nervous, excited, happy, and relaxed whenever I'm around him. I never want this feeling to end. But I don't want to say anything just in case he doesn't feel the same way about me. Now, I'm really scared to ever tell him. 

*on the plane*

J.J.: *asleep*

Morgan: *headphones on, listening to music*

Rossi: *trying to sleep, sitting next to Emily*

Reid: *sitting across from Emily and reading a book*

Emily: *looking out the window*

Reid: *looks at her* Hey, Em?

Emily: *looks at him* yeah?

Reid: I know that you feel like you aren't ready, but once you open up, you'll feel better about and not so alone when this topic comes up, okay? *puts his hand on her hand*

Emily: *smiles and holds his hand* okay

Reid: good * takes his hand away and goes back to reading his book*

Morgan: *notices something between Reid and Prentiss*

Emily: Reid?

Morgan: *takes off his headphones*

Reid: yeah? *looks up from his book*

Emily: when we get back, we could go back to my place and maybe watch a movie, talk? I'd like to not go home alone tonight

Reid: of course

Emily: Thank you *smiles*

Reid: *smiles and looks at her lovingly*

Rossi: *looks at Hotch to see if he's seeing what he's seeing"

Hotch: *nods* So, you guys ready to be back home?

Emily: Yes! Never been more ready to go back home like this before.

Reid: I'm just ready for more books *smiles*

Morgan: *chuckles* of course you would

Reid: *confused* what's that supposed to mean?

Rossi: *laughs*

Emily: *gigges* calm down tiger, I'll let you know what he means later

Reid: okay *he went back to reading his book*

*1 hour later in the office. Emily and Spencer left about 15 minutes before. Everyone else *

Hotch: Okay, so everyone could see what was going on on the plane right?

Rossi: As clear as day *smiling*

Morgan: Between Reid and Prentiss? *chuckles* oh yeah

J.J. and Garcia: what's going on between Reid and Prentiss?

Hotch: We believe that they have feelings for each other

J.J.: Why do you believe that they have feelings for each other?

Rossi: While we were on the plane, Emily was looking out the window just, lost in thought. Reid pulled her out of her trance and they had a few nice words

Garcia: Okay? They always say a few nice words when one goes through some personal stuff during a case. What makes this so different?

Hotch: She asked if he can stay with him for a while because she didn't want to be alone

J.J.: Well, why didn't she ask me or Garcia to stay with her?

Rossi: that's where the "They have feelings for each other" theory comes into play

Morgan: yeah and the fact that they almost kissed the other day

Everyone else: WHAT?!

Morgan: what?

J.J.: they almost kissed?!

Garcia: and you didn't say anything?!

Morgan: I didn't think much of it. We were called to another crime scene, so I went to go get them. When I got there I saw them lean in. I walked in before their lips could touch. When I walked in, they jumped apart and started acting awkward for the rest of the day

Rossi: dammit Morgan!

Morgan: Don't blame it on me!

Garcia: I bet that they are going to get together soon based on this new information

J.J.: I bet that they will get together by the end of the month

Morgan: I give it 3 weeks

Rossi: *takes out a $20* let's make a pool. We each put in $20 and say when we really believe that Prentiss and Reid will get together. Whoever was the closest to when they get together will get the pool. I bet in 2 weeks

J.J.: *puts in $20* I'm staying with my earlier statement. They are going to end up getting together by the end of the month. 

Garcia: I bet tomorrow! *Puts in $20*

Morgan: A little confident aren't we? *smirks*

Garcia: *smiles innocently*

Morgan: *puts in $20* I still bet 3 weeks

Hotch: *takes out a 20* I bet that they will end up together by the end of the week *smiles*

Rossi: May the best profiler win *smiles*
