One Week// Mace Coronel

We messed around on our skateboards and saw a boy skating our way. We waved and he waved back. He stopped and asked how long we have been skating. "oh only about a year and a half." I said nodding and walking up to him. "we started on the same day." layla said adding on. "cool. I started when I was 7 or 8. I'm 15 now." he said with a grin on his face. "it took me about an hour to have my balance and not misstep." I paused. "I'm 14" i said and threw my skateboard on the ground.

"oh by the way my name is mace." he said his eyebrows rising and his cheeks reddening. I chuckled "I'm Andy." I said reaching for his hand to shake. "nice to meet you sir." he joked tightening his grip on my hand "hey, I happen to think that my name suits me." I said pausing again. "am I just going to call you spray? " he squinted in confusion. I counted loudly. "1..2..3..4." just as I was about to say five he yelled. "oh" he uttered. "wow that took you 4 seconds" I said laughing. "its not that funny of a joke. don't worry about it." I said and dropped my hand.

Layla stood there looking a little upset. And my dumbass finally realized I didn't introduce her. "sorry oh my gosh. mace this is Layla, Layla this is mace." they shook hands and she looked at him with a look of bliss. like she already had feelings for him. I'm just gonna assume her hands were sweaty because he looked totally disgusted. But I guess she was too into the moment that she didn't notice. I let out a quiet laugh. Layla let go of his hand and turned around to look at me. "andy? what are you laughing at?" Layla asked with frustration laced in her voice.

Mace wiped his hand on his pants. He chuckled. "why so defensive layla?" he looked back at her with a look of lust. and i already knew what he was doing. layla rode off on her skateboard "don't mess with the girl, mace." I said as soon as layla was far enough away that she couldn't hear. i already knew he was going to toy with her.

"oh jeez sorry. i didn't mean for it to come off that way." he said and giggled.
