Andy
Linoel let me know he was here and I walked out to see him in his car. "hey! it's wonderful to see you. how are you?" I asked him as I sat in the car and gave him a hug. "I've been pretty busy. it's nice to see you too. you look great." he said and he took the car out of park. we talked a little on our way to the coffee shop.
we walked into the coffee shop after parking and sat down at an empty table outside of the shop. I looked around. "this place looks super cool. I've never been here before." i said, admiring the cool decorations. "oh yeah this place opened not too long ago. and guess who owns it?" he asked. "who?" I asked. "Martha Owden." he said. he walked inside with a smile on his face. he went to order I assume.
Martha Owden. She's the pretty, popular girl that used to be a loser. and of course, I used to be one of her friends. I'm completely ashamed of this because she was a shitty person. she used everyone as a step ladder to get where she wanted to go. but I didn't let this get to me. I'm here to have a nice time with my old friend.
"anyways, I Heard you met a guy." he said as he came back and sat down in his chair. "kind of. i met 'A' guy, not 'THE' guy." I emphasized. he nodded. "that's what you categorized him as. for now." he said. I shook my head at him. "I met this dude called mace. He goes to our school but somehow I've never met him till now." I said resting my head on my closed fist. "oh, I think had Spanish class with him. Wasn't great but he got pretty good grades." he told me as if to say 'go ahead. he's a good one.' i laughed at him. "that's good. At least I know he wouldn't be a distraction to Layla when they get together." I said like I hadn't noticed him basically tell me to make a move on Mace. "how do you know they're gonna get together?" he asked with his face scrunched up. he makes that face when he wanted to call me an idiot. but like before, i ignored it.
"I don't know. She liked him and she always gets the guys. Not that I want him, I don't. " I said nonchalantly. "I didn't ask if you did. " he raised his eyebrow. "I know you didn't. I didn't want to give the wrong idea." I said firmly. "I always seem to do that. I never catch myself so I'm trying a little harder on that." I added. I felt pretty guilty about leading guys on in the past. I never meant to. I'm just naturally flirty. it's just who I am. "I know. I've been there and I've seen you there. It's hard to get through because you feel like the bad person. " he said grabbing my hand. "it's unintentional. It's not your fault you're so kind and sometimes flirtatious." he added pulling his hand back. "yeah I guess." I said.
We talked for a few more hours until we got our coffee and finished it. the sky was dimming and we were tired so we decided to go home. "well this was fun. I hope I see you soon again. " he said as he parked the car in front of my house. "well actually I'm having a party I can text you the details." I said. "I'm going out of town for a while. that's why I invited you out today. like I said, busy." he said through the window of the car after I shut the door. "that's too bad. I've really missed you and our talks. which reminds me, how's Jaxon?" I asked him about his boyfriend. "oh he's good. he actually wanted to see you too but he had to go visit his aunt in the hospital. She's awfully sick." he said with a soft smile spread across his lips.
Linoel was the type to get attached to the family. if he was friends with you, he was friends with your family. if he was dating you, he was dating your family. so I could tell he was hurt by this. "oh I'm so sorry. send him my love." I said and he nodded. "absolutely." he said and we said our goodbyes. I walked inside my house and changed into more comfortable clothes for bed.
