Zayn's Pov:
Niall's been with me and my family for a few days now trying to regain his strength. He hasn't asked many questions which I've been grateful for, Everytime I inhale Niall's scent or see him my attraction towards him grows, My will to protect him becomes stronger. My family have been talking non stop about the prophecy. Myself however wants to hear nothing more about it. I don't want it to be true, I refuse to put Niall in that kind of danger. However each time I see him apart of me believes it's all true. I sighed to myself before walking into our family sitting room.
"Do they know about him?" I asked interrupting whatever conversation they were having.
"No not yet" My father answered.
"I want it kept that way" I exclaimed.
"Zayn you know I cant guarantee that, I have no power over th-"
"I don't care! I want Niall's safety guaranteed, He dosen't deserve to be involved" I replied.
"Zayn, Niall is involved, Nothing we do can change that, Your bond grows everyday" He explained, I groaned.
"There must be something we can do! I won't let any harm come to him! If they find out about him and get hold of him there going to kill him!" I replied.
"Should have thought about that" Louis sneered. I dashed over to him.
"What does that mean?" I snapped.
"If you hadn't brought him here this wouldn't be happening, He's a danger to our world! If they kill him I say good riddance!" Louis shouted.
"Does he look dangerous to you! He's a human being! He's not a threat to you!" I yelled.
"Enough!" Our father yelled snapping us both from the argument. Suddenly Liam was pulling us away.
"I got this" He said before turning his attention to me and Louis.
"Zayn enough! Louis whether you like it or not, Niall is apart of our world now, We will protect him as if he was a member of this family, Zayn cares for him and we won't let nobody hurt him, Harry's accepted him so I suggest you do the same thing, And you two fighting isin't helping anyone, Were a family so start acting like it!" Liam said. Myself and Louis glared at eachother.
"He's not a danger to us" I spat once again before walking out the room to check on Niall.
I walked into my bedroom to see my father and Harry checking over Niall, The moment Harry saw me he stood up.
"See you later Nialler" He said before walking over to me.
"Sort Louis out before I do" I whispered, Harry sighed before nodding his head.
"I will" He said before walking out the room.
"Zayn!" Niall said a small smile taking over his features. I smiled before walking over and sitting in the chair beside the bed.
"How is he?" I asked.
"Well he's healing well, The bones are mending and he's getting stronger each day" My father explained.
"Thank you" Niall said smiling at him.
"Your welcome Niall" He replied.
"When will I be strong enough to leave?" Niall asked, Suddenly I felt sad.
"I'd say a few weeks, Please Niall stay with us for as long as it takes you to heal up" My dad suggested.
"I don't want to be a burden on you" Niall replied.
"Your not, Now I'm going to leave you boys to it" He said before walking out the room.
"He's brilliant" Niall commented.
"Yeah he is" I agreed.
"Zayn?" Niall said. I looked at him.
"Yes Niall" I replied. He bit his lower lip before speaking.
"Do you believe in the prophecy?" He asked.
"I-I-I don't know, I don't want to, However apart of me can't help but wonder" I replied.
"Are you scared?" He asked.
"For you I am, I can handle anything, I know this world, But I fear for you, But Niall I promise nothing will happen to you" I assured him.
"I'm not afraid, To die I mean-" I cut Niall off.
"Who said anything about dying?" I asked.
"I'm not stupid Zayn, You fear me being killed, But I'm not afraid to die, I mean it's away of life, It happens in the end, So why should I fear it" Niall explained.
"Your strong Niall" I commented. Niall chuckled.
"With you around, I know nothing will happen, I can't explain why, But I feel like my strength comes from you" Niall exclaimed.
"Keep that strength Niall" I said.
"Why should he? Strengths not going to matter when they find out about him" I heard Louis speak, My head snapped to the door.
"There not going to find out about him!" I spat out.
"What do you think Zayn? That you can keep him a secret forever? They will find out about him, Especially if the prophecy is true, You know how it ends Zayn" Louis said. My eyes widened.
"They won't touch him, I won't let them!" I said through gritted teeth.
"Oh they will, You know it deep down Zayn" Louis replied.
"I'm not afraid" Niall spoke up. Louis made eye contact with him, A look of pity filling his eyes.
"You should be" He said just as Harry walked up behind him.
"Louis leave Niall to rest and come with me" Harry warned him. Louis then walked away leaving me and Niall in silence.
Niall's Pov:
What did he mean? Who are they? Why should I be afraid of them? Apart from the obvious that there blood sucking vampires. Why does Louis hate me? I thought to myself.
"Ignore Louis" Zayn said.
"What did he mean? Who are they?" I asked.
"I will tell you when the times right, For now you just need to trust me" Zayn replied.
"I do trust you" I replied. Zayn smiled before standing up.
"Get some rest, Tomorrow were getting you out for some well needed air" Zayn said.
"Stay with me for a while?" I asked. Zayn nodded his head before laying his body beside mine. I slowly curled my body against his ice cold one. I placed one of my hands on his stomach, Then my head on his chest. No heartbeat could be heard, But I've never felt more safe before. Suddenly I felt one of Zayn's arms sliding under my body then around my waist. I smiled as I closed my eyes. I know Zayn wants to protect me and he will do anything to do it, But I can't help but feel like a burden on him, I was bringing trouble to him, He was fighting with his family because of me, It's not right.
