[Jaemin] 7:28 am. Friday.
—
I am absolutely exhausted.
I realize now that staying up until 4 am binge watching all the Harry Potter movies was a really bad idea—especially if I want to get to work on time.
I look at my clock and see that I have exactly twelve minutes to drag myself out of bed, put some clothes on and find some transportation if I want to get to work on time.
Groaning as I roll myself out of bed, I hear my phone go off. Why is everything so damn loud?! The room spins as I stand up, the view of my rumpled blue sheets against the gray walls being the only thing I can pin point. Jaemin why'd you only have to get two hours of sleep? I think to myself. You know you can't function with any less than five.
My surroundings still spinning, I wobble my way to the kitchen where I immediately down a glass of water.
"Now Jaemin," I say aloud, having to physically tell myself what to do in order to get myself together, "Put on some clothes, brush your teeth, and get yourself out of the house in two minutes, okay?"
In record time I manage to make myself mostly presentable and get myself out of the door with seconds to spare. I jump into my car and speed out of the driveway, weaving through the dense morning traffic. I finally see the entertainment building up ahead, and I park my car in one of the last remaining spots and look at the clock. 8:13 It reads. I'm thirteen minutes late.
I run into lobby, and stand there panting, as I wait for the front desk lady to check me in.
"You're free to go Mr. Na," she says, after what feels like an eternity, and I grab the ID she hands to me and take off towards the elevator.
I finally reach my office, and pull open the door, keeling over as I enter.
"Have not... ran... that much... in years," I groan, panting between breaths. My co-worker and best friend, Daehwi looks up from his computer to stare over at my exhausted state, not even blinking in surprise.
"You good bro?" He asks, his expression staying the same. I can't blame him though, because me being late is a regular occurrence.
I finally plop myself into my comfy chair and log onto my computer. Daehwi leans over in his chair, about to tell me something when I spy his cup of coffee sitting there on the desk. I snatch it greedily and take a huge gulp.
"Jaemin! You little ass! Get your own cup instead of backwashing into mine thank you very much," Daehwi sasses. I give him a dirty look and with some struggle pull myself up out of my chair to get myself my first—of many— cups of coffee.
I admit I am a coffee addict. But with my job it's hard not to be. I am constantly doing something, whether booking events, sending long strenuous emails, or accompanying crew and staff to events. I work for a big entertainment agency that is the home of two popular idol groups. For my job i do many things, but mostly I deal with scheduling and media for only one of the groups .
Now if I'm being honest, I don't work 24/7. When there are no promotions, I literally get paid to sit in a chair and get fat while discussing cats with my best friend. Pretty great if I do say so myself.
Currently one of the groups and the agency in the group I am assigned to, bts, just finished promotions for their newest comeback. So while the worst is over, I'm still sifting through millions of emails each day asking for statements, attendance for interviews, and applications to be nominated for award shows, and stuff like that.
