Warnings: Rejection, crying, angst.
(And very bad, last minute writing.)
Otherwise, I think that is all for this one-shot!"I-I... I love you!" Patton said, feeling relief after finally letting it all out. But the expression that Logan held on his face was enough to bring Patton into that anxious state.
"Patton, I'm sorry..." he said— the two words.
'I'm sorry.'
The two words Patton feared. And the two words that no one wants to hear from their crush.
"I don't feel the same way about you."
Patton immediately felt his heart shatter. A growing pain in his chest. He gave a small sad smile, "o-okay, that's okay!" He said, "it's okay... Logan.... I-I... just... forget I said anything—" he said in a trembling voice, forcing his tears back.
He was not going to cry, especially not in front of Logan.
Patton turned around, quickly walking away.'Of course Logan wouldn't love someone like me.' Patton thought, he... was not good enough for Logan. Logan deserved better.
Walking further, his sight fogged up from his tears.
Why did he think he ever had a chance with Logan?
Wiping the tears away from his eyes, he came to a stop.
Though, Patton didn't know where he was. His vision was blurry from the tears that clouded his sight.'What is wrong with me?' He thought to himself. 'Why does it matter? Logan can love whoever he wants. He is best off with someone who makes him happy.'
But...
Why did it hurt so much?
Why was his chest aching? Why did he feel like he was crumpling?
Why did he feel so...
Shattered?
