After The Golden Light Consume The Four They Went Blind For A Moment when they regained their sight they found themselves in a river

they went out of the river to the bank and to the backpack on it there was a note saying "Jen read the books in side I know you guys might have questions the books answer them so start reading"

so Jen reads the books and after finishing the books she explains everything

j: apparently time is like a river constantly flowing and always changing and has what the book called fixed points and if somebody prevents that point from happening all of time happens because the changed and time slowly dies out unless someone else goes to the past and prevents the other person or people from messing with the flow of time so in our time time is broken and that dude we were fighting sent us to kill his brother who messes with that time flow and we can not use our main magic
