After practicing rumour for around 5½ hours, I was finally done with refining the choreography and practicing the vocals/rap. I wiped my forehead with a paper towel and had a gulp of water. Without realising, it was also time for actual practice to start. I rushed back to the dorms and took a quick shower and changed into my practice clothes. I then went back to the practice room.

The first rehearsals were tomorrow and we had barely any time left. Tomorrow was one of the most important. It would determine whether we get to perform or not. We had to do our best. We've spent almost a week preparing for this and I wouldn't let our efforts go to waste.

The day past by in a flash. We spent most of the time practicing our formation and making sure we were in sync. We also had some individual practice sessions to practice our vocals or rap. I spent all the individual time on practicing the dance, especially the couple dance with zhenning. Every time we practiced, my heart pumps faster. I still can't get accustomed to this feeling. After practicing a couple of times, we became so much more natural and didn't have any sense of awkwardness at all. Since we were all so set on practicing, we practiced till 3 in the morning. I however, stayed back again to practice for Izone. This time practicing La Vie En Rose and a bit of Swalla.

After bathing, I once again return to the practice room to conduct our final practice before the rehearsals. To be completely honest, I was really nervous. I was also really hungry. I was practicing so much, haven't eaten in almost 2 days. I quickly ate an apple while waiting for our turn.

"Reverse Team A please get ready."

My heart pounded. What if we did badly? What if I make a mistake? What if we're not in sync?

Without knowing, I started hyperventilating, I was shaking like I had a seizure. Zhenning realized and wrapped his arm around my waist comforting me.

My heart pounded faster. Not because of the performance, but because of how close we were. Not long after, we were called to perform.

Once the music started, all of us got into the mood. All of us hit our notes perfectly and the dance was in sync. The two centers idea seemed to work as the mentors looked pleased too.

Zhang PD's POV

The rehearsals had started for a while now and now it was time for Reverse Team A. I had high hopes for this group as the mentors have complimented them a few tines during meetings. Jolin even said that their group had two centers. Not going to lie though, having two centers is actually a really good idea.

As they came up on stage, I could already feel their aura. The music started and they started dancing. The first glance they gave was piercing. During the chorus, I could really feel that they worked really hard. The dance was full of passion and emotion. When I thought their dance couldn't get better, I was proven wrong straight away. The couple dance that was done during the hook was executed really well. There was absolutely no sense if awkwardness despite them being so close together.

After both the performances, all the mentors discussed which group would perform.

"Ughh, both of them were good. I can't pick one." Jolin said.

"Agreed, both groups were equally as good." After Journey said.

"Let's think about it and vote."

After a moment of silence, we decided to vote.

"A" Mc Jin said.

"A" After Journey said.

"A" Jolin said

"A" Minghao said

"A" Ronghao said.

"Alright then. With an unanimous vote, team A is the winner."

I said as I stamped the cards.

Yuan ying's POV

After we finished, I threw a water bottle and a towel at each of the members. All of us sat down and rested for a while. Since we weren't doing anything, I left the room and went to the music room where me and zhenning first met.

I locked the door since I didn't want any interruptions. I stared practicing my vocals for la vie En rose. This room was sound proof so it was perfect as I didn't want anyone to hear. The performance was secret and only the staff knew about it. After practicing for an hour or two, I left the music room, going back to the practice room. Everyone seemed to be sitting down and talking. When I entered the room, everyone stared at me.

"Where were you?" Zhang Yu asked me.

"I was at my dorm resting. Why?"

"Zhang PD was looking for you. It seemed urgent." Zhenning said.

"Owhh, OK, I'll go and find him then."

I walked out of the practice room and headed towards the mentor room. I knocked on the door before entering.

"Ahh Yuan ying. You're here."

"Were you looking for me, PD?"

"Ohhh yes. I wanted to talk about the arrangement for the performance."

"Ok?"

"I'll put reverse as one of the first performances so you will have more time to prepare. So after you perform reverse, please go backstage and prepare for your other performance. "

"What if my teammates notice me missing?"

"You'll have to lie to them about your whereabouts."

"Ok then. Is that all?"

"Nope, you can go now."

I return to the practice room seeing everyone starting stretching. They must want to start practice. I turn on the music and we start practicing again.
