Chapter Five

Hella woke up the next day, she went downstairs to prepare breakfast and do the lundry. It was the second day of dragon training and Hella was not excited about it. She couldn't stop thinking about the NightFury and the dream she had yesterday.

Once she was finished with the lundry she hang them outside and started the breakfast. She made eggs, soup and meats with bread for her brothers and a vegetable soup and beans for her. Hella still remembers the day she became vegetarian, she was with Hayden in the forest when she caught a butterfly.

(Flashback)

"Hayden look at what I had caught"littel 4 years old Hella showed him the butterfly that she had caught in her hands. Hayden carefully took the butterfly from her and let it fly away.

"Hayden why did you do that"Hella asked him. She was about to cry when he carried her.

"Hella you can't catch a butterfly because it has an important job to do"He told her softly.

"What can she do, she is useless. All she does is hang on the flowers and stay their"Hella said confused.

Hayden shock his head. "That's not true, nothing is useless. Why dont you look at the butterfly again and tell me what are you seeing"he asked her.

Hella looked at the butterfly and saw that she was moving from a flower to another. "Hayden what is the butterfly doing?"

"The butterfly helps with carrying the polen from one flower to another so all flowers can blossom"Hayden told her as they watched the butterfly together.

"Even the dragons are important?"littel Hella asked.

"Even the dragons. One day the war will stop and humans and dragons will live together in peace and there will be no fight and death"Hayden told her. He knows that Hella is the most gentle and lovable girl in their village, and Hayden swore that he will protect her always.

"Now it's getting dark lets go home and I will make you yak stew"

Hella cringed and almost gaged. "Can you make me something that doesnt have meat in it. I don't like the idea of killing animals and eating them"littel Hella told Hayden.

"Yeah me neither. Alright I will make you some vegetables stew how does that sound"

"Better. Hayden from now on I'm not going to eat meat, I will only eat vegetable"Hella said.

"You are not the only one sis"Hayden told her. And they went back home to have dinner.

(End of flashback)

From that day till now Hella and Hayden were the only ones in the family and the whole village that ate vegetables insted of meat.

After breakfast was ready the boys came down and they all had breakfast together and prepared for the day. Hamish have work in the Forge as Hella is not the only blacksmith. Eliot was going with Hella to the dragon training and Asgar was going to help Mildow again with his field.

When they reached the arena all the teens were there and the arena looked like a maze. Gobber went early and started putting up walls to make it look like a maze for the training.

The teens will be fighting against the Deadly Nadder. "Today is all about attack"Gobber told them. He and Eliot were watching the fight from above.
"Nadders are light and quick on their feet, your job is to be lighter and quicker"

All the teens were running away from the Nadder. The twins were hidding in it's blind spot, but they started fighting and the Nadder attacked them. Fishlegs was running away screaming. "I'm starting to quistion you teaching Gobber"
