Chapter 26

Jayceon P.O.V

The Same Day

I woke up about 10 the next day. Carmen was bringing Carissa over while she went too work.

I hopped up out of the bed, and went into the bathroom and took a 20 minute shower.

I walked out the shower butt naked into my room, and pulled out some boxers and Nike socks out my drawer, then went too my other drawer and pulled out some black and red basketball shorts.

I went downstairs, and as soon as I reached the last step down, my door bell rang.

I walked over too dining room table and got my .9 from under the table then walked over too the door, holding onto the door knob.

"Who it is?" I said standing hiding beside the door, looking through the stained glass.

"Carmen." I snatched the door open. She had Carissa in her hands, then she looked me up and down then she saw the gun in my hand. She raised her eyebrow.

"You need too put that up if you gone have her." She said with her eye brow still raised pointing too the gun.

"Aight man, just give me my daughter." I said taking Carissa out of Carmen's hands.

"I will come pick her up later when I get off." She said. Then she turned on her heel and walked too her car.

I closed the door and locked it. I put the gun back under the Dining room table, and went into the room.

Carmen was making noises and was bobbing her head all over the place.

"Da-da." She said slowly. I paused in my tracks....did I hear her correctly or was I imagining shit.

"Da-da." She said again. I looked at her as she was looking at me. Those were her first words, she never spoke. I thought she was gone be one of those quiet shy girls that sat in the corner getting bullied and shit. I ain't want none of my kids too turn out like that, my kids gone be straight Gangstas!

"Yeah its ya da-da." I said smiling and kissing her on her cheek. She smiled at me and went back too bobbing her head looking at everything over my shoulder.

I sat on the couch and turned on the t.v. too Kevin Hart Let Me Explain. She likes Kevin, she seems too know the right time too laugh. I honestly think its because she be hearing the crowd laugh, but I guess that's her.

Kevin Hart came off about an hour and a half later, I looked down on my chest and saw Carissa dozing on and off.

I turned the t.v. off and walked upstairs too her room, and sat in her rocking chair laying her on my chest until she fell asleep, then I automatically fell asleep with her.

Tiffany P.O.V

I was now getting off work and I had too pick up the girls, the twins and Cameron today since Carmen had too work late tonight.

A few minutes later, I pulled up too the girls school. They noticed my car a couple of minutes later and they immediately hopped in.

"Y'all buckled in?" I asked them starting putting the car in drive.

"Yes." They said in unison.

"How was school?" I asked looking at them through the rearview mirror.

"Fine." They said blandly. I just sighed and kept my eyes on the rode making my way too the daycare.

I finally got there, I put the car in park and all three of us unbuckled our seat belts and hopped out the car and made our way into the daycare center. I walked up too the front desk and signed them out.
