The wolf that got away

What now?

After I finished eating I could hear Nixxy purring for her self, now I have to pack down the rest of the food and make a run for it. Taking the bag with me I start making my way back to the out of the city and find some place I can feel safe. Keeping with the shadows I finally make it to the little forest patch right outside the forest and placing down the bag so Nixxy can grab it, I shift.

Nixxy POV.

I grab the bag Kine sat down for us and I run as fast as I can to the closest forest that is bigger than this little patch. Trying to keep my thoughts to my self as I don't want Kine to know what I have been doing, and it will take effect soon I think. Runnign and weaving through the trees I suddendly sense someone close and I stopp dead in my tracks. Who is it? Is that some one I know? Sniffing the air around me, I can't place the smell. Hiding behind the closest tree that have fallen down and mask my sent. Having all of my senses on full alert I can hear someone coming close. Is it someone on four legs? I'm to scared to even think stright and poor Kine is trying her best to take over, if she does we won't get away fast enough. The steps is coming closer, and I hide the best I can but being almost a silver wolf it isn't easy. Before I even can move an inch more the feets to the steps is right in front of me, and shit it's another wolf right there. Trying to move away from the opening, the wolf lays down and looks right at me. I can't do anything but lay my head down and tuck my tail between my legs, what am I gonna do now? The wolf shift infront of my eyes and it's the old man from before and he is smiling at me. "Come here. I won't hurt you." I look at him not even sure what to do, but I have to do something. I let Kine take over and we shift back to her.

The old man smiled and waved me over to him. I wasn't sure what to do, but the curiosity got the better of me and I carefully moved closer to him. Once I was in arms reaching he pulled me in to a hug. "I know what happened to your pack.. And I'm so sorry you had to go through with that, you can come with me, I have a bed for you and food if you want it" he said as he smiled and I couldn't do anything other than nod. He took my bag and pulled me up with him and off we went, but not in to the city but the same way we was running. Soon a cozy little house came in to view and here we were gonna stay for God's know how long.
