"After your classes, I will be picking you up," Stephen told Kali as he continued the drive to campus. It's been a week since Kali started training but it's been a week since she's been to training, not that she's been complaining. Zion had to do something, as Stephen put it, never giving her much information and telling her to stay in a child's place as if she wasn't nineteen and was being forced into business as big and bad as his mafia.

"Why?" she asked. Stephen raised his eyebrow.

"I'm your father and I don't have to explain why." Kali huffed, crossing her arms.

"I'm an adult and you're forcing me to do something I don't want to do because of something your men could have prevented, but didn't. It's not fair that I have to be punished for this and not them." Stephen looked over at Kali with a look that told her not to question any further before he looked back at the road. Kali rolled her eyes looking out the window.

When they got to her campus, Stephen grabbed her wrist before she got out. Kali looked over at him with a look of death. "Have a good day, princess," he told her.

"I hate you." she spat, pulling her arm out of his grip and quickly getting out the car. Stephen flinched as the door slammed and let her words sink in. First, he was angry that someone spoke to him in that manner but then he was hurt because of the girl he has grown to love as his daughter, told him for the first time ever that she hated him. But he knew, from what Ruby told him before, that if your child says they hate you, you were doing something right. But it didn't make him feel good about it.

After making sure she got into the school safely, he pulled out of the school's parking lot and headed towards the restaurant where his wife was waiting for him.

When he got inside, he kissed his wife, pulling out her chair and allowing her to sit down before he did and sighing. "What's wrong?" she asked. Stephen looked up at his wife and cleared his throat.

"I have something I have to say and I know you aren't going to like it one bit."

Kali walked out of the school, looking for Stephen's car. After searching for a little bit, she didn't see it and took that as her chance to run. She turned the opposite direction of where she was supposed to go and started to full sprint away from the campus.

Zion looked around, looking for the young woman, but didn't see her. He was just about to call Stephen to tell him the problem when he noticed a familiar brown-haired woman run past him, not even sparing him a glance. He quickly put his phone back in his pocket before running after her.

"Kali!" he yelled. Kali looked back at him for a second, eyes widening in fear. She sped up, running towards the study hall. "Kali, stop."

"Leave me alone!" she pleaded as Zion also picked up the pace, keeping up with her.

"You act like I am going to hurt you," Zion grumbled, speeding up, even more, he was now close enough to grasp her. Kali let out a grunt as she could feel his body heat radiating behind her and she knew she was caught. She slowed down a bit, without warning, making Zion crash into her and both of them fell to the ground.

As they fell, Zion grabbed ahold of her and tucked her into his body so she wouldn't be affected as much by the force of the fall. As they hit the floor, Kali let out a yelp as she was in pain and as Zion's body completely fell on hers, she felt the wind being knocked out of her lungs. She let out another sound of pain and pushed against his body, trying to lessen the pain she was in.
