"So, you wanted to know about Mr. Rey?" the old man said, while he was pouring a scoop of sugar into the cup of coffee.

"Yes." Jerald nodded his head, sitting beside his brother on the couch.

Mr. Kent sighed again.

"Are you okay if we ask this kind of questions, Mr. Kent?" Jerald asked.

Kent didn't answer, but he gave the cup of coffee to the boys and tell them who Mr. Rey is, and what happened to him

"Back in the old days, when I and him are still young, just like your age. Rey and I are best friends. We're like brothers to each other. But time has passed, and things got changed. We got older and older, we went to college and fell in love with the same girl. Sometimes, we fight against her. And I realized that I don't want to be fighting with my best friend, I don't want to lose my brother. So, I gave her to him instead of myself. Now, both of 'em fell in love with each other. I was afraid if he will forget about me, and so, he really did. He doesn't even talk to me anymore, he just ignored me when I'm trying to talk to him. When years has passed, Rey and her was already married, but they divorced. Rey has two sons, but his wife took them, and left him behind. I promised him that I will always be there for him whenever he needs help. But Rey started hating on me, he was filled with hatred, sadness, guilt, and depressed after they broke up. One day, we are having a fight with each other. 'What did I do wrong to you?' I asked him. 'Get out!' he shouted at me terribly and kicked me out of his house. I, then realized that he was hating on me since he met the girl he loved, and I thought to myself: Why did I ever care about that fellow? He doesn't care about me! He doesn't care about me at all! There's no way we could be brothers ever again! I was depressed after all that mess. I can't believe that I actually lose my bestest friend. But then, I was filled with anger and hatred towards him." Kent stopped talking. The brothers noticed his face was different

"Then, what happened to him?" Victor asked.

"Because of my hate to him..." Kent continued. "I became cold and heartless. I prayed that he will die someday. I was so furious to him that I wanted him to die and blaming him, he's the reason why I felt guilty, worthless, and depressed. We don't talk to each other anymore until we get old, he's like somebody else to me anymore. Yet, my prayers were answered. He really did die..." Kent stopped again. "It's all my fault..." He sobbed

"Shinola..." Victor murmured. Then, he poked Jerald's ribs using his elbow.

"Ow!" Jerald said softly.

Victor was signaling his brother to tell Mr. Kent to stop the story and just tell them what happened to his best friend before he died.

"What happened before he died?" Jerald asked.

"He..." Kent continued. "He was kidnapped by a silly looking creature..."

The boys was looking at each other after Mr. Kent said that Mr. Rey was kidnapped by the creature. The old man told everything about Mr. Rey and the creature he saw that night.

"OH, SHINOLA!" Victor said it out loud.

"SHUSH VICTOR!" Rald told him. "So, let me guess... that's why your bringing a machine gun to hunt that 'thing' down?" Jerald asked Kent.

"You bet you're right." Kent answered.

The younger brother looked at Jerald and raised his eyebrows, signaling him to help Elder Kent find the creature and kill it.

"Oh, sorry." Mr. Kent said. "You two are running out of coffee. Do you want some more?"

"No, thanks." Rald replied.

Again, there was a pause.

"I'll be right back, boys." Mr. Kent told them.

Kent grabbed his gun and went towards the door, going outside. Victor looked at his brother again, signaling him once again. It was already sunset, but the boys didn't go home yet. Aunt Cala, Uncle Eduard and Jane was looking for them.
