Never Turn back ANIKA

Part 11: TRUSTED ONE.

Anika opened her eyes and looked at the clock which was already turned 8 by that time she immediately get-off from the couch and saw the duvet which was on the sofa in a confused look. and heard some sound from the kitchen. her legs started to move there without her knowledge.

anika ... you woke up - shivaay exclaimed while cooking where anika remained speechless by then shivaay took a spoon full of curry and forcefully made her taste it. 

how is it? - shivaay asked with a smiley face where anika nodded yes with a little smile in her face where she wants to yell at him for being more caring but she can't able to say anything. 

what are you thinking? - shivaay asked her where she nodded no to him.

I thought we are buddies ... that's why I came to your kitchen without asking for permission. - shivaay said to her in a calm tone.

are you mad? why you need permission? - anika immediately replied without thinking for a while. 

shall we? - shivaay asked and brought the dinner to the dining table where anika's face seems to be so low, shivaay noticed that and decided not to ask her. anika ate the food without saying anything, shivaay understood that and remained silent.

shivaay ... take that room ... - anika said while pointing her finger towards that room where shivaay nodded without saying anything where anika blamed herself in her mind for behaving like that with him so she decided to clear the cloud.

anika took his hand and they walked towards the couch, they both had a seat. anika sat near to him.

"I know that you won't ask me anything so, I am taking the lead"- anika said in a calm tone where shivaay remained silent.

"shivaay ... you covered me with the duvet right when I was sleeping" - anika asked him where shivaay turned towards her and asked, "what's the big deal in that?"

"shivaay ... you can't get it..." - anika said in a hesitated tone while taking her eyes away from him.

"I am not habituated to this type of care...you will leave me after 3 weeks then what will I do... so let it be"- anika said in a pleading tone where shivaay turned her towards him and asked: "what I am to you?"

"friend" - anika replied in a lower tone on seeing his blue orbs.

"a friend meant to be caring and consoling ... you understand(while hitting her head) what if I leave you after 3 weeks... I will come after 1 month... we will be in touch through phone, social media... you know what's the perk in friendship... it will be forever... it's like a movie where we can able to understand the whole movie from wherever we watch... and how long you can run? at a point, you need to come back... you know friends are for life ... and I already friend you... and you need to friend me back and it's not a request ... it's an order..." - shivaay said with convincing tone where anika can't even able to ignore or reject his order.

she nodded yes to him where a lone tear escaped from her eyes and shivaay immediately wiped it and said: "I thought you're a strong girl when you fought with that woman but you turned out to be emotional dumb"

"hey ... hello Mr... I am not an emotional dumb ok ... your speech broke me ... otherwise, I am so strong ...  forget who helped you from that women"-  anika said in high tone where shivaay gave an achieving smile. 

anika understood his attempt which was being successful in diverting her. 

"can I tell you one thing ... why are you so nice to me?" - anika asked him while placing her head on the couch.

"because you're nice... "- shivaay said with a smile where anika took a deep breath and said: "shivaay you know when I was 4 years old...my parents got separated," anika said in a very lower tone which was quite shocking to shivaay not because of knowing about her parents just because of her confrontation, but he neither stopped her nor asked her to change the topic but he decided to listen to her and wanted to share her pain because that's all can he can do.

"you know volleyball shivaay, not any players are allowed to keep the ball they are just allowed to pass the ball to other players by hitting it hard... I was like that ball for the whole 5 years from UKG to 4th standard" - anika said with a wide smile and welled up eyes which clearly shown how she was damaged where shivaay couldn't able to imagine her life in those 5 years, mentally he is also going through the same situation where anika is now. 

"none want to keep me with them forever... that second I understood that forever is a beautiful lie" - anika said while wiping her tears where shivaay shockingly stared at her.

"you accused me that I ran away from the situation where I should be there and face them... tell me what will happen? they will give me stupid excuses for their mistakes ... will it heal my pain?" - anika asked him while keeping her hand in her heart where shivaay can't able to control his tears on seeing her condition.

"I don't want to scratch my wound again shivaay ... do you think I'm coward it's your perspective and for me, I am just a selfish who cares about me more than others ... I am feeling pity for myself... and some people never understand that..." - anika said with disbelief where shivaay held her hands and kept it in his lap where anika shockingly watched him with the teary eyes.

"I will never tell anyone you're here... you know why? (anika nodded no) because now I became selfish... I don't want anyone to hurt my friend again...(anika smile with teary eyes) you're my friend now" - shivaay said while cupping her face which turned out to be a hug. 

"shivaay you know I stopped expecting anything from anyone... but now I am expecting something from you" - she said while burying her face on his shoulder.

"what" - shivaay asked while caressing her hair who himself crying on seeing his love in this condition. 

"I want this friendship to be forever, I know I am expecting more... " (she broke the hug) "but this heart expecting something after a long time (she broke down)" - anika said while keeping her hands in her heart. 

shivaay quickly wiped her tears and pulled her towards him by placing her head on his lap and caresses her where anika slept in his warmth knowing someone there by her side who really cares for her.

as soon as she slept shivaay scooped her in his arms and rested her in the bed where shivaay can't able to control his tears after seeing her in that condition. he covered her with a duvet and sat beside her by caressing her hair.

"anika, I don't know how to free yourself from this pain... but now i came na ... i won't let you suffer lonely ... you asked me that this friendship should be forever ... it will be forever ..." - shivaay pov.

 shivaay kissed her hand and slept on the couch beside the bed where anika is sleeping.
