Chapter seven

JADE POV

Wednesday

That will be a dollar I tell the old woman, she pays and walks off, I blow out a breath turning around Sam who is sleeping on his seat while Holly is cleaning up the counters.

I look down at my watch the delivery will be here soon and I can't wait to go home and plus I have a party later tonight.

I see the delivery truck out from the glass wall, jumping out of my seat I immediately head out, slapping Sam on my way to wake up

He groans mumbling about surrounding himself with violent people.

The familiar man opens the back of the truck and I sign what needs to be signed.

I groan as Sam and I drag a box into the supermarket, I just need to get this sorted and I'll be gone, its already dark outside.

Holly walks out to help us

Where have you been? I scrunch up my face wiping off my sweat.

You don't wanna know she winks.

I frown, you need to stop using the janitor closet to "wipe off some steam"

She laughs a girl just got to do what she got to do she shrugs grabbing a crate of apples

I shake my head laughter in the air, when everyone is gone and the shop is locked up my me, I head to my car across the parking lot, whistling to myself and swinging my car keys in my hands, the keys fall on the floor, I groan wrapping my fur coat around my body tighter, I bend to pick it up but a boot covered feet covers it nearly squishing my hand to the cement but I withdraw my hand quickly

I frown looking up when I see a man in a mask, i immediately  stand up walking backwards, the man looks really built, my eyes widen; what the-"

My back hits a wall, I turn around to meet another man with the same white mask I look up in his eyes when I realise something their eyes are fully black no pupils or anything, my breathing gets heavy, adrenaline running through me; I should just make a run for it.

I start running in the opposite direction, the men don't follow I run faster when I bump into a shadow in the dark, my eyes widen when I realise its one of the men, I gulp how did they get to me so fast?

I turn around ready to run again when two men come from the sides surrounding me, what do you want from me? I don't know you? I don't have cash either-" I scream
Really Jade? Things with eyes like that and you think they need money ,how can they see?

One of them tilts his head to the side releasing a snake like hiss.

Okay this things are clearly not humans, but what do they want from me, am not food!!!!

I gulp my hands shaking now, I've never been scared of anything ever!!! Not since I was a little girl, my breathing gets heavy and I feel like am 10 again trying to fight of asthma attacks, my breath hang in my throat thinking about a way out
