World n°1
To say Jimin was shocked would be a great underestimation of how he felt. It was beyond shock. It was like a slap to the face, like freezing water was spelt on his flushed skin, like he had lost his sanity.
“Suh-sorry, what?” Jimin sturrered out, not knowing what to focus on, what to understand. Nothing sank in, nothing made sense.
“Take it easy young man.” Yoongi muttered as he walked to caress Jimin in the shoulder. If he remembered right, it was an act of consolation for humans. It has been long since he met a human but he really wanted to console the other man. He felt a sense of obligation towards him. “You're cursed but it's not as bad as it seems, I promise. I'm here, I will help you come back, okay? Minnie.”
“He-help me come back?” Jimin barely got the words to leave his throat, that seemed to tighten to the width of a straw, dry, constricting, shallow. His lack of understanding was just as evident in his face as it was in his voice. “How isn't this my world? It looks the same.”
“It's the parallel world, that's why it's the same. But you, Park Jimin, of this world is the royal advisor. Kim Taehyung is the king of this kingdom. Are you a royal advisor Minnie? You're not. You said you were a servant, but not here, not in this world.”
“The other Jimin is going to suffer in my place.” Jimin muttered in deep thoughts. If the other Jimin was a royal advisor, he probably never done any kitchen work. “I also can't take his place. I don't know how to read, much less advise in the kingdom's matters.”
There was a sense of shame in Jimin's words, how him and the other version of him were polarly opposite.
“I can teach you. Don't be so ashamed young man.” Yoongi tapped Jimin's back once again. He didn't see a human for so long, but why did the first human he met in so long had to be this lovely and adorable? Why did he suddenly felt the need to protect him?
“Really?” Jimin asked, innocence shining in his eyes.
“Yes, really. You'll stay with me for there's nothing left for you to do in the castle. I'll teach you, and help you come back. Of course, only if you want to come back.” Yoongi muttered ever so softly and Jimin just nodded his head. This witch was way nicer than what stories about witches ever had to reveal.
“What's a parallel world?” Jimin asked after a moment of thought, and Yoongi smiled almost endearingly.
“It's a world like yours, but slightly different. Most common mistake of people with your curse is that they try to change how things were, avoid some of their fears, save others.” Yoongi said as if he had seen it happening more times than he cared to keep track of. But Jimin didnt see the point of avoiding bad things while changing worlds.
“Why is it a mistake?”
“Because in reality, you can't change anything. It's meant to happen a certain way. Usually, you fall in what you're trying to avoid. The more you try to change things, the more it stays the same.” Yoongi explained and Jimin nodded at that. He couldn't say that he understood, but of course a witch would understand more of the mechanisms of such things than him.
He was totally clueless, but Yoongi seemed pleased enough with him to teach him, to protect him, to keep him with him. Something about it all made this heartwarming.
This was how Jimin stayed in Min Yoongi's Magic shop. He saw many magical creatures coming to the shop, buying things he didnt see the use of. But Yoongi always took his questions, and he suddenly found it hard to go to a world where his friend didnt exist.
“Yoonnie!” Yoongi was in the act of selling some magic dust to a vampire when he heard Jimin's voice. Yoongi hummed and Jimin came out of his room, pouting. “I don't wanna go to a world where you don't even know me.”
“I'm sure the other Yoongi will like you just as much as I do darling. I'll come visit you at times too, okay sweetheart?” Jimin didn't seem satisfied by the answer, but he wrapped his arms around Yoongi all the same. “Also, what about Taehyung? You'll leave the love of your life alone?”
“The other Min Yoongi won't be you, and he doesn't know me and I won't be able to see his magic shop. I can't have Taehyung anyways, Jungkook ruins it. He thinks I'm his doll or something. He'd kill whoever gets close to me.” Jimin said in a sullen nuance of his tone.
Yoongi saw his point. He was miserable in the other world, way too miserable. Poor and alone, sexually used and physically tired because of all day's kitchen work. He didn't want to see him like this.
“I see your point darling, but it's where you belong. We have to break the curse eventually. The other Jimin is already messing things up so bad.” Yoongi said and Jimin shook his head in defiance.
“You can't leave me like this, living in that misery. I hate Jungkook, I hate his filthy touches. I hate how he took every beautiful thing out of my life. I'd rather die than come back to him, or to any of it.” Yoongi hummed in understanding, and in all honesty, he wouldn't want Jimin back at that kind of misery ever again.
“I'll see to it that this problem won't exist anymore. I'll deal with it. I promise when you come back, you'll be treated like a king.” Yoongi muttered, and Jimin had no idea how Yoongi planned to do that. But he trusted he will do it somehow.
“Can you also kill Jungkook for me?” Jimin asked, one would see it as an evil request, but when Yoongi turned to be met with the vivid fear in Jimin's eyes, the sparkling distress, the unmissable pleading in the depth of his starry eyes, he couldn't refuse at all.
“Sure, my darling.”
