Her calls of his name were muffled, stinging with the repetitive blows of fists to his face before Niall was able to shake himself out of the depths of his dizziness and grab ahold of Cliff. Vivian watched with a look of utter shock as Niall leapt from his place on the ground under him and rolled them both over. Loud cheers and hollers filled his ears as the crowd started to grow closer to the action, Niall now straddling over Cliff and serving him blow after blow. Vivian couldn't believe what she was seeing, it all seemed like a vivid nightmare she couldn't wake up from and after the tenth wailing hit to Cliff's face, Niall stopped.
He had stopped fighting. Cliff had long given up and Niall had stopped and stayed leaned over him, his back heaving as he desperately gasped for air. He took a moment to compose himself before slowly getting up and slugging over towards his motorcycle. With her mouth fallen slack, Vivian watched as Cliff groaned in pain and rolled himself over to his front, kneeling up to spit out the excess blood that had pooled in his mouth. Flicking her attention back to Niall, she ran over to him, his palms planted on the seat of his bike as he stayed hunched over, trying to settle his heaving breaths.
Vivian's hands were all over him, slipping down his back and arm, caressing over the scratched up side of his face. He was shaking, his body tensed so tight she could see the veins protruding from under his skin, but her concerned touch gently calmed him more than anything else could have. "Are you alright?" she asked, her voice soft on his ears but laced with worry. "Please tell me you're not hurt. Why, I don't know what I'd do with myself if you were hurt..."
Licking some of the blood off his lips, Niall took in a deep breath and slowly turned his head to peer over at her, a lopsided smirk on his face. "I'm fine," he said.
She pulled in a slight gasp from the large abrasion that sat at his temple from when he had hit the ground and the faint splatters of blood on his skin, but other than that he was in surprisingly good shape. She could hardly believe it. "Oh my God," she breathed out in relief, flinging her arms around his neck and tugging him into a hug.
Niall chuckled against her hair, his hands wrapping around her middle and holding tight to her. She felt good against him, she felt worth it. Vivian squeezed her eyes shut as her face buried into the sweaty crook of his neck, her heart pounding and the warmth from him once again filling the entirety of her. Inching back slightly, there was a tingling sensation sparking through her, a feeling that she wasn't at all familiar with and without thinking, Vivian slipped her hands from the back of his neck to cup around his stubbled jaw.
Niall peered down at her, eyes darting heavy and fast, her body trembling within his hold and not a second more was passed before Vivian had lifted to her tiptoes and pushed her mouth to his. It was a soft kiss, a careful kiss. A kiss that was uncharted and impulsive, but also so very much desired and Niall helped to ease her into it, subtle but tempting as he let her lead them. Niall's palms splayed over her lower back, tracing up her spine as Vivian slid her tongue into his mouth. His breath was blistering hot, tasting of cigarettes with a tinge of blood, but he was tender with her, encouraging and sweet and she knew without a doubt that it was the best kiss she had ever had.
Slipping her mouth away from his, Vivian let her eyes flutter open to look at Niall, reaching up to tame a bit of his messy hair from the dried flecks of dirt on his forehead. He smiled at her. "Well, that was a pleasant surprise," he chuckled.
Tipping her head to the side, Viv gave him a bashful smile. She knew he could see the embarrassing pink that was readily filling her cheeks, but she didn't mind. "I just...I couldn't help myself," she admitted.
"That's good."
"Good?" she repeated in a soft tone.
"Yeah," he continued, "I like that ya feel that way 'round me."
