The young girl the kin had accepted was growing older, deciding on putting her day of birth as the day they found her. Although she had already been residing among them for about six years she did not have a name yet which worried Rakshan, who had become a mother figure for her, being in her human form often to play with her.

And finally, after those painfully long years the child would be receiving a name gifted by the elders from the gods themselves like every other young dragon who comes of age. The ceremony in which the child creates a bond with one of the six primal deities of magic, would take place in her seventh birthday, which was currently only two weeks away.

The young child would be receiving a name next to another six young fledglings, four of them were the offspring of Elairie and her mate Ymund and the other two were orphans, since both off their parents had died in an expedition to the outer lands and most probably drained of their magic energy, since one of the most common flesh people was the human race and because of the sins of their ancestors, could not use any type of magic, well not one that wasn't fringed upon by other races.

By the tender age of four, the flesh child who the elders assumed was a half human, half elf because of the short tips of her ears, although the type of elf is unknown. Had learnt to speak and write in the ancient draconian language and was a fast learner so Kiriel had eagerly started to teach her the language of the elfs right after her fifth birthday.

With only two weeks left, the hunters had been out for longer hours to be able to catch enough prey to feed the other three dragon clans in the Draconic Land, the elders had already warned the chiefs and elders, such as themselves, about the non-dragon girl who would be receiving a name.

That day was extra special for both the females because, the child would start practising what to do in the ceremony and Rakshan would be the one to mentor her and the other two orphans who would be named the same day, as for Elairie would be preparing her own cubs.

Although most older younglings would ignore her for not being the same species, she was lucky because two male fledglings had taken a liking to her and defended her if anyone tried hurting her and spent time with her in their human form. They were only three years older than her, so they felt like older brothers although not connected by blood.

One of them was a midnight blue scaled dragon which at a first glance seems black with fiery red eyes, whereas the other was a slightly larger- only by a few inches- green colour with a warm undertone, perfect for camouflage in the thick foliage of the forest, his eyes being the only way someone could see him when in hiding, being an amethyst colour.

Of course, when in human form, the colour of their hair was the same as the scales which cover their bodies in their large scaly form. The first one, Hillmud, having a darker complection and Bajik having a fair skin.

They were both fond of the girl and seemed amazed by her. From her confident attitude to her longing for adventure because if her curiosity. Besides, the rest of the fledglings cast her aside because of the lack of dragon blood running through her veins.
