I'm at my desk trying to finish my work

The sounds of the clicking and clacking of many other computer keyboards fill the air

I take a gander at my watch

'9:57... Just 2 more hours'

I lean back in my chair

the creak of it echoes throughout the melting pot of noise

I rub my eyes

then I hear papers being placed on my desk

I look up and see my boss

he placed folders on my desk

I look up at him quizzically

he sighs

Boss: "Y/N I'm sorry to do this to you, but these reports need to be done by Thursday. I'm going to need you to stay to finish them you'll be paid extra of course."

Y/N: "OK, I appreciate the gesture and ill do my best."

he walks away satisfied

I can't get mad at him though, he has his plate full as is

I just open the folders and see what I can do to lighten my workload

I place the final completed document back inside the folder and close it

I save my doc in word 5 times just to make sure

then I log off my computer

swiveling around, I see the dark and practically empty office

a nearby radio advertises the celebrity gossip between the princesses and the government and whatnot

I shut it off

I get up from the chair and stretch

the cracking and popping of bone seem louder than usual

but then again...it's dead quiet in here

I push my chair in and grab my coat

I put it on and walk out of the office

I open the door and see the janitor there

Mr.Gregory: "oh it's fine Y/N, have a nice night"

I smile at him

I walk around him and head towards the elevator

'man, I'm so tired'

I push the down button and wait

I look at my watch and see that it's 1:45

'oh well...time to get my 6 hours of sleep'

soon the little 'beep' from the elevator grabs my attention
