"That's not all. I can read minds, heal the sick and I can even take souls out of a person's body and watch them collapse in front of my eyes and die. Right now I can feel you are not okay with this," Marty said as he feels he has made a grave mistake. "Sam please tell me something."
"You can read minds tell me what I am thinking?"
"I don't want to know because I feel it's bad."
"I don't think bad is the word to be used here."
"Okay," Marty braced his self for a big confrontation of Sam's opinion.
"Look, I've got to get back to school. We can talk about this later. Right now I need to think. But don't worry, you are still my man."
The school bell rang all the students let out for the day. Marty stood and waited for his friend Sam, but Sam never showed. The grief, the sorrow of the loss of a very close friend. Internally Marty's heart was severely broken. Marty walked away with his head down. The grief was too hard to hide the tears, tears he didn't want anyone to see then all of a sudden Tommy ran up to Marty and hug him, "thanks Marty, I'm in remission. They can't find cancer!" Tommy yelled.
"Oh that's great," Marty said as his father called him, "Marty, come on we have got to meet your grandmother at the Airport. Come on get a move on. Where were you I've been sitting here for over twenty minutes?"
"I thought Sam was going to walk home with me after school, but he never showed."
"Good because I would have missed you and I'm already late."
Meanwhile, Tommy ran to his brother Billy, "Billy I'm in remission, and it's all...." before Tommy could finish his sentence Billy yelled, "What were you doing hugging the boy who tried to kill you?"
"Tried to kill me, Billy what are you talking about?"
"I saw what he did one day in your classroom. With his eyes he was doing something- I-I- don't know and then all the lights when out and you and the other kids were acting like the walking dead or something and the lights came bake on and it was all normal again. I can't explain it but it was dangerous what he was doing."
"I don't know what you saw Billy but he healed me," Tommy replied as Billy stared into space thinking he did that to get me off his back.
"I don't care he is dangerous, so stay away from him."
Meanwhile, at the Airport, Marty's eye lit up when he saw his grandmother, "Grandma,"
"Hi, Marty, how are you my birthday boy. Here you go happy birthday," Susan Fillmore replied.
"I'm fine but my birthday was three days ago."
"I wasn't here three days ago, now was I? Martin did you and Vanessa made reservations for dinner tonight?"
"Mom, the name is Marty and yes we made reservations."
"Your father and I named you Martin. Your father name was Martin and your name is Martin and that's what I'm going to call you, Martin," Marty's mother yelled while young Marty laughed.
"My name is legally changed from Martin to Marty."
"Well, you won't hearing me say it," Susan said while crossing her arms and turning her head towards the window. They argue all the way to Marty's house where Vanessa was dressed and waiting for their return.
"The Fillmore table of five please," Vanessa ordered.
"Marty you and Miles sit together and..." before Mr. Fillmore could finish seating everyone Miles yelled, "I want to sit with Grandma."
