Chapter 1

The mornings were the same for Kirishima. Every day. The cold wind would hit his face, and he'd open his eyes and gently try to pry Bakugou off of him. Seeing the pleased glint in Bakugou's eyes after casting his eyes on a freshly made breakfast and his boyfriend sitting there waiting for him always made up for the slight annoyance Kirishima felt when he woke up on cold mornings.

Bakugou was a clingy sleeper, always finding some way to suction himself to Kirishima regardless of what form he had shifted into. Bakugou would never admit it, but he loved being hugged. And kissed. And having his hand held. No one ever used to give Bakugou love as a kid, and Kirishima was here to make up for all that lost time.

But today Kirishima pried his eyelids open, and the familiar warmth wasn't there. Before Kirishima was even fully awake, he had a miniscule panic attack right there, unrealistic thoughts sifting through his brain. What if we've been attacked and Bakugou's been captured? Or dead?What if Bakugou's left you behind? The last thought made Kirishima's eyelids snap fully open, and he sat upright, his heart nearly jumping out of his chest with each beat.

But then Kirishima looked around, coming to his senses and saw Bakugou, Deku, Uraraka, and Iida sitting at a fire, all smiling and quietly talking, roasting several rabbits on the fire. Bakugou turned, the hint of a smile hidden on his mouth, thinly masked with the scowl he usually had. "Oi, Shitty Hair. You're finally awake." Kirishima blinked a little, rubbing his eyes, a heavy sense of relief washing over him in a dense wave.

Am I really that scared of being left behind?

But Kirishima pushed the thought away and shoved on a smile. He won't leave you behind. Hopefully. A slightly fearful voice in his head murmured. Of course, he wasn't sure, but Bakugou was reliable and Kirishima trusted him. "Hair for Brains. Idiot. Is he even fucking awake?" Bakugou scoffed. Kirishima turned his head, blinking a few times. "Oh. Yeah."

Kirishima stood up quickly, romping over to where the group was sitting.

He had a busy day ahead of him.
